Hello all,

I would find it very useful to have a signature field in ArcGIS field maps with the same functionality we see in Survey 123 - storing the drawn signature as an image attachment. Perhaps there is an efficient work around for this implementation? If not, I think it would be a useful enhancement for Field Maps.

Thanks,

Henry

Definitely. I will say, our inspector field users love that in Survey123 for getting signatures from folks in the field.  (I am also in utilities) I appreciate how user-focused the Esri Field Apps teams are, I have faith this will make it in eventually.  While you could have people scribble in an app and upload the attachment etc, it's nice how it's turnkey super-simple and reliable in Survey123.  Perhaps the Smart Forms / Field Maps Designer team could make this work with a featureclass/service that has attachments enabled; and it could enable this functionality on a field?  And the UI/UX people could engineer the frontend signature entry interface on Field Maps.

Adding signature support to Field Maps in a similar what that is used in Survey123 would be a vital piece of the puzzle for us as we continue to transition our clients from a paper based workflow to an electronic GIS based workflow, this functionality is critical for us to have to ensure that the requirements of their accountability and legal processes are met with our solutions. This is one of the main complaints we do hear is the problem of having to do work in both Field Maps and Survey123 just to have signature support. Please make this happen in Field Maps. 🙂
