The next update of ArcGIS Business Analyst Pro is planned for May 1st, 2025. Below are the planned updates. Please note that all planned updates are subject to change; check back to stay apprised of the latest news.

Updates to color-coded layers
- New bivariate colors and graduated colors symbology types will allow you to see the relationship between two variables.
- Geography levels will be displayed as interactive lists, making it easier to update the map.
- When using the online Esri 2024 data source, geography levels will be organized in groups by relative topic, such as groups containing levels for administrative or marketing purposes.
- The standard deviation classification method will be added as the default variable type for averages, percentages, indexes, and ratios.
Improvements to benchmark comparisons workflow
- New comparison methods will be included to analyze the distribution of datasets. You will be able to use the top and bottom, high to low, and above and below benchmark methods.
- The Results pane will be enhanced with thematically colored records to show data rankings and groupings that sync to a color-matched map layer.
- The export to Excel option will be enhanced to support exports of thematically colored cells.
- Adding neighboring geographies to the analysis will be improved with site filtering.
Updated suitability analysis workflow
- Suitability analysis will be updated so users can set up and run the analysis without opening individual geoprocessing tools, allowing for uninterrupted interaction with criteria and settings.
- You will be able to reorder criteria in the suitability analysis.
- Exploring a statistical overview in the Results pane's summary view will now be possible.
- You will be able to easily undo or redo criteria modifications in the workflow.
Updates to territory design
- The Modify Territories pane will include enhanced tooltips to display territory violations, such as attribute and distance constraints.
- You will now be able to undo or redo manual territory edits or entire solve operations.
Enhancements to the Results pane
- The Results pane will be updated to support interactive selections and descriptive statistics.
- Summary, histogram, and scatterplot views will be added to benchmark comparisons.
Data browser improvements
- Working with variables will be improved, allowing easier ways to manage and reorder variables in lists.
- You will be able to set favorites and view metadata pop-ups within tools and workflows.
- A node will be added to the data browser that conveniently lists all variables in a dataset.
- Semantic search will be improved when working with numeric concepts.
Updates to working with segmentation data
- The color-coded layer workflow will apply pre-defined cartographic styles to segmentation data, such as Tapestry Segmentation data in the U.S. and PRIZM data in Canada.
- You will be able to display segment names as IDs, or IDs and names.
