When I first discovered the issue the first time I ran the entire script as a scheduled task, I found the following information. I've found Windows Task Scheduler error messages to be cryptic. In brief, when the detached job crashes, Windows tells the scheduler that the detached process completed with error code 3221225477. The scheduler simply writes "finish" message to the log indicating that the job didn't end with standard exit code 0.

I am trying to convert a Model Builder script into a Windows Scheduled Task. I have broken it into multiple scripts, and then call each script successively from a BAT file. Each script runs the arcpy.TiledLabelsToAnnotation_cartography tool for a specific scale. It basically creates annotation feature classes. The first and last map scales run, but the other scales do not run. There are also no error messages in my log files (that should write within the except clause). I initially tried running this as a single script, but it would stop during the second scale (without any messages). It almost seems like Python is crashing for some reason. From my log file, it takes about 2 hours for the first scale, and about an hour for the last scale. Does anybody have any ideas as to what may be happening? I can share the scripts, if needed.

I think this may have been taken care in the 4.15 or 4.16 release. I just went back to this project, updated to version 4.16, and without changing anything else, the popup doesn't show anything if the image value is null.

I'm working on converting a map app from Leaflet.js to the Esri JS API (4.x). I have a field that contains the URL to an image. However, not every record has an image. I was planning on using the code below to add the image to the pop-up. However, I was wondering if there is a way to control the pop-up logic so that the image only appears if the value in the field is not false (technically null)? Thanks for the help. const popupTemplate = {

I found some documentation at Configure site settings—ArcGIS Hub | Documentation. Within Google Analytics, you can drill down and get stats on downloads If you click on the file-type, then it lists the name of the layer, as it is called in the open data site. I'm going to look into how to create automatic reports in Google Analytics so we can start tracking once we officially launch our open data site.

I ran the Add GPS Metadata Fields and published a new version of the test service. I see new data collected related to the internal GPS receiver on my phone. However, I still do not see the Azimuth information. Does that property need to be collected by the GPS receiver for it to show in the data? I also didn't see any reference to azimuth in the Add GPS Metadata Fields tool. Grateful for any insights.

Thanks for the link, it is a great resource. The staff will be using a Samsung Tablet (I don't know what model yet). They would prefer to use offline data collection to save money on not purchasing a data plan. I have tested this process on my phone (airplane mode), and I think it will work out. So we would either use the device's internal GPS or an external receiver. The project is for baseline reports for new farms in our agricultural preservation programs. They need the points symbolized so that it shows the direction they were facing when they took the picture. So capturing direction is actually more important than horizontal positional accuracy.

I am developing a mobile data collection workflow that will be using the Collector App. Currently, staff takes photos with a camera, and notes on a printed map the location and directional-orientation for where they take the photo. Whenever they start using Collector, will the directional-orientation for where they capture a point (north, east, etc) be stored in the data? If so, how can I access that property? If it's not stored in the data, I'll have to add a field to capture their directional-origination.

A couple weeks ago, we began experiencing an issue with our web server. Any sort of asset (image, css file, regular page), can only be accessed through Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer. In Chrome, the message is "ERR_CONNECTION_RESET". In Firefox, the message is "PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR." We have Microsoft Server 2019, and IIS 10. Our IT staff also noted that "If you use Chrome or Firefox it is using TLS 1 and doesn’t load, even if I change my Internet Option settings to use only TLS 1.2 it still tries to use TLS 1. So to me it seems like that is at least part of the issue. Not sure why it is forcing those browsers to use TLS 1 but from the captures that is what appears to be happening." Anyone experience this issue? Anyone have any tips to resolve?

It turns out I needed a newer Microsoft SQL server driver installed on the server running the script. gdb[0] was a sde connection file. gdb[1] was a common name for the database.

I have had a Python 2/ArcMap script to compress enterprise geodatabases. The script has worked fine for a while now. I recently converted the script to Python 3/ArcGIS Pro. Now, I keep getting the same error (see below). I've tried referencing the sde connection files using os.path.join and as a single variable (drive/letter/file). I'm looping through a list of geodatabases. Error: Failed to execute. Parameters are not valid. ERROR 000837: The workspace is not the correct workspace type. Failed to execute (Compress). I was happy to find this thread! I also found using the suggestion of gis.content.get(sd_id) allowed me to automate overwriting my feature service. My project is for a countywide tax parcels layer. Whenever I update the layer (ovewrite feature service) I also like to "Optimize Layer Drawing" and "Rebuild Indexes." Are there some Python API commands to automate these tasks as well?

That is exactly what I was looking for. I was at a lost as to how to update the service definition associated with the existing service. I was definitely on the right track.
