After changing the symbology of a raster in a Pro 2.7 map I open catalog and right click to build pyramids. When build pyramids completes the symbology for the raster in the map revert to grayscale. This is not what I expect from the tool, I just want pyramids built, not change the raster symbols. Is there a place to change this behavior?

When copying text from another application the Paste or Paste Special puts the text in the center of the page even when zoomed to a small portion of the layout. Is there a reason the text cannot be placed at the cursor location when right clicking to get the Paste option?

Thanks Melita, good to hear from you again. I agree with the distortions you mention, but the ability to tessellate seems handy. Obviously it wouldn't work for navigation or as a mobile basemap, but for illustrations this view of the world could tell a good story. Too bad if the equations aren't made public.

It would be nice to be able to use the AuthaGraph projection (AuthaGraph projection - Wikipedia) in ArcGIS. Is adding this in the production plan?

Why is this an "Enhancement", isn't this just porting 10.X functionality? I just want to right click on a featureclass and choose "Convert Labels to Annotation". As far as speed goes, converting four labels to annotation should not take 2'19"

Eddie Walsh How would the polygon be used in the creation? Each vertex in the polygon? The centroid? The centroid within the polygon? Can you give an illustration?

Thanks Jeff, I had not used that option, and re-exported and the PDF file is now 158 MB, however, the white lines went away, so that is an improvement.

I am still seeing this issue. I have a layout in 10.6 that produces a 52MB file in the PDF version 1.6, from PRO 2.3 the same settings produce a 108MB file which is PDF version 1.7. The more critical concern is that the PRO PDF has some artifacts that make it unacceptable, the higher the DPI the more white lines show up. PRO 2.3 version: 10.6 version Any ideas Kory?

Thanks Scott Presently I have a vtpk that represents 64 million polygons and is 1.4GB in size. Our field foresters use this layer in the field using Collector and we would like to be able to constrain the extent, and thus the size, to their various service areas. Another use that we are planning on is for wildfire response mapping. We will create an incident specific basemap at least twice a day for fire operations personnel to download and use on the line. We do not need to have the mapped area outside of the fire vicinity and the new tiles need to be as compact as possible. The limitation of 500mb file size for Collector is what we are trying to meet, and smaller is even better. Another issue related to extent would be the time required to generate the vtpk files. A large geographic extent can take several hours to generate. Vector tile packages are great and we appreciate the functionality, thanks. Emmor

Vector tile packages (.vtpk) are a great way to share and view basemaps in PRO and Collector. These basemaps are an amazing way to quickly view millions of vector features. Presently all the vector features in the Map are converted to vtpk in tiles based on the number of points. The challenge I see is to keep the size as small as possible while still containing the appropriate vectors. I would like to create vtpk files with data constrained to a specific extent like a county, city, region, district, SAR search area, or an emergency response area for a fire or flood. There are no environment settings for Create Vector Tile Index or Create Vector Tile Package. The request is to add an environment setting for extent to these two commands, any features that fall outside of that extent would not be rendered in the vtpk. This would limit the size of the resulting basemap without having to clip all features in a Map. Existing Environments Suggested Environments A work-around is to edit the polygons of the Tile Index to only include the smallest tiles and their parents in the area of interest, but this is a cumbersome approach.

I would also like to see the Pro Simplify Building tool improved to be a practical tool to clean up building footprints created by automated feature extraction. The key enhancements are: Preserve building orientation Preserve building size Allow Round buildings Force square corners Improve the help to define how the Simplification Tolerance is used by the tool
