Hi @SaadhasnainKhan To clarify - this means is that we only allow apps that are build by Esri and hosted on the ArcGIS online platform (i.e. their hostname ends in "arcgis.com") to request authentication information from the host application - in this case a Site. For security reasons, we do not support this for custom developed applications, and to date we do not have any means or plans (that I'm aware of) for external developers to host applications on *.arcgis.com domains. Sorry, that's likely not the answer you were hoping for.

Jim, Just to ensure that this fix will address your issue, can you share what OS you run Portal on, as well as the Identity provider you use - i.e built-in accounts, Active Directory, LADP or SAML. Thanks! Dave

Malcom, The Open Data Admin app runs under ssl, and thus needs to make a https request to the tile cache to get information about it (projection etc). In this case, it looks like ssl is not setup for that service, as https://s1-mdc.cloud.eaglegis.co.nz/arcgis/rest/services/Cache/Basemap/MapServer?f=json returns a 404, but non-ssl requests work.. http://s1-mdc.cloud.eaglegis.co.nz/arcgis/rest/services/Cache/Basemap/MapServer?f=json I am looking into why this error is not being displayed in the UI, and get a patch on production asap, however, the fix will be the same - to use a tile cache in Open Data, it needs to support ssl so the admin tooling can interact with it. We use the 'NAD_1983_HARN_StatePlane_Oregon_North_FIPS_3601_Feet_Intl' projection. Will this work for the indexing? Thanks! Joe, I'm not sure, but here is how you can tell if it will work: Go to the rest endpoint for your layer (i.e. http://services.arcgis.com/bkrWlSKcjUDFDtgw/ArcGIS/rest/services/ACME_Factories/FeatureServer), and if it reports the projection with a simple number like 102100, 4326 etc, then Open Data can ingest it cleanly. If it shows a long projection string like: "PROJCS["NAD_1983_Albers",GEOGCS["GCS_North_American_1983",DATUM["D_North_American_1983",SPHEROID["GRS_1980",6378137.0,298.257222101]],PRIMEM["Greenwich",0.0],UNIT["Degree",0.0174532925199433]],PROJECTION["Albers"],PARAMETER["False_Easting",0.0],PARAMETER["False_Northing",0.0],PARAMETER["Central_Meridian",-96.0],PARAMETER["Standard_Parallel_1",29.5],PARAMETER["Standard_Parallel_2",45.5],PARAMETER["Latitude_Of_Origin",37.5],UNIT["Meter",1.0]] then we currently can not. Thanks for the detailed information James! I don't have point-by-point answers for you right now, but I can say that at this point, the indexing system used by Open Data does not (yet) support services using custom projections, and this is causing a cascade of issues that result in many of the oddities you are seeing. We are actively working on adding support for custom projections (1.0 release), updating the documentation to add this (beta) limitation clear, as well as a means to inform the Open Data admin of the datasets that have been added to the search index for a site and a listing of those which could not be added for whatever reason (i.e. custom projection at this point). In the near term - can you publish your map in a standard Esri projection? i.e. one that does not use a projection string? It does not have to be web mercator (aka wkid 3857) Hope that helps! Here's the thing - "GeoProcessing" as a concept has multiple implementations, and while many times they can be "equal" in terms of output, they are very different in terms of audience and situational constraints. For example - in my opinion, ModelBuilder is evil. This may or may not be the actual case, but since I come from a coding background, I'm highly skeptical of any draggy-droppy code magic thing. I do however groove with Python, and massively appreciate the productivity gains as compared to ArcObjects. And similarly, for people who come from a pure "GIS Analyst" background, never to have their minds corrupted with the various incarnations of ITopologicalOperator, ModelBuilder is pure awesome. By lumping these two types of users and the associated tooling into one forum, you're doing a disservice to everyone. Forums only work if they are quick and easy to use, especially for the power-users who are likely to actually contribute answers to the conversation. So - split'em... Forum a) Draggers & Droppers (The Dark Arts of Model Builder) Forum b) White space matters (Zen and the Art of ArcPy) Cheers, Dave

How do I delete a project from the web server once it's pushed there from Project Center? This is not in the doc (that I've found), and I'm guessing I can just delete folders under ItemsRoot (did you have to use GUIDs?) but it's not clear if that will bork things up. Dave

When using the ArcGIS Mobile Windows (RC) app to connect to the project hosted on an AGS box, if you enter "http://server/arcigs"... it fails with a generic message. Although the label for this text entry box specifies "server/arcgis", many people will assume that it wants a url, and will put the http on the front. Watching requests in fiddler I confirmed that the app tacks on another "http://", which of course causes errors. So - my request is that you simply look for http:// in the value that's entered, and take appropriate action. Thanks Dave
