Losing this widget means we lose some of our emergency response tools. These are effective ways for us to respond and provide tools to emergency response personnel. Our team is trying to make the leap to experience builder, but this is one of a few limitations for us at the moment.

This is a great suggestion. Otherwise you have to get a creative with how you display the datasets and adds extra work from a data management point of view.

Thanks Robert. That saves me some time in loading all my tables in even if multiprocessing isn't something that can be turned on. XY table to point usually isn't that heavy so I can see why processing one at a time is still fine.

So what drove me crazy this past week while I did the tedious processing was that I had done this before using the route tool which turned out to be way faster. You need a unique identifier for each route in your input dataset. That much I know is true from my emails back and forth between my coworker earlier in the year. But that was the only thing I could remember about doing it. The workflow was maybe add data with unique identifier for the input route field. Same unique identifier for each stop that you put in. Then run? After 7000 processed and how long that took, I don't want to try it again with the route method. Pretty silly the documentation is that vague.

I have a bunch of the same type of XY Table to point calculations that I am doing within ArcGIS Pro. I know my computer has extra processing power at it's disposal. Is there some sort of setting that I can turn on within Pro so that instead of having some of these pending, I can have them process simultaneously?

So I found a (very tedious) way to do this process. I was fortunate enough that my distributor locations were usually the same for groups of 100 or so sites. So I created a point feature class for a single distributor location and pulled in my sites as another point feature class. Then I ran an Origin Destination Matrix with the single distributor site feature class as the origin and the multiple sites in the feature class as the destination and the resulting line dataset provided the answer that I needed. Marking this as solved for someone in the future who might have this problem as well.

I know I have done this before but I can't remember which analysis layer and data input format gives met the outcome I am after. Basically my input table looks something like this: Origin ID Number | Origin Lat | Origin Long | Destination Lat | Destination Long 123 xx.xxxx xx.xxxx xx.xxxxx xx.xxxx 123 xx.xxxx xx.xxxx xx.xxxxx xx.xxxx 123 xx.xxxx xx.xxxx xx.xxxxx xx.xxxx And I am trying to get ArcGIS Pro to return a drive distance along the drive network for me for each part of origin and destinations. I have done this before, I think with the route analysis layer(?) but I cannot for the life of me figure out the steps I took to input the type of data shown above to get the output in drive distance. The output from the prior times returned a value in KM for driving along the road network. Thank you

In this example, the chart widget is being used to measure the change in elevation across contours. The output of the profile graph created by the widget is shown here. The only way to share the graph with others is to screenshot the chart itself, and the output of the graph when screenshot is a little confusing without the option to add your own legends. This widget would be greatly improved by the ability to add a custom legend name for each axis and the ability to export the resulting chart/charts.

Yes! I knew someone else would have this request. I was working with a user today trying to get a profile labeled and it seems totally obvious that this would be a feature in the widget. Voted this up. What my user is trying to do is do a profile based on contours. So they draw a line over the contours and it returns the chart but because they can't custom label either axis, the chart isn't super useful to anyone but the immediate user.

Hi all. I am working with data from a 3rd party vendor that is accessible from a 'generic' (non-mapping) REST endpoint. I present credentials to an OAuth2 URL and get a token back that allows me to make the API calls I have to make from there. From reading the documentation, they don't seem to offer any ArcGIS REST capabilities. (nothing easy to add like servername.xom/arcgis/rest/services/SampleWorldCities/MapServer) The data itself has a lat long value and some other readings from the sensors and is returned in a JSON format. Ideally the data would be updated every 5 minutes or so, and is updated in near real time on the vendor's servers. What is the best way to get this data regularly and then put it into a webmap? FME? Geoevent server? Some other way I'm not aware of? Basic data flow API --> Spatial Data Store --> service(?) --> web map --> web apps

Looking at the simplify polygon tool in pro, it seems to be possible to enable parallel or distributed processing based on hovering over the branched icon next to the hammer. It reads: "This tool can leverage multiple cores or nodes to perform parallel processing. Read the tool's help to learn how to leverage the Parallel Processing factor environment to enable parallel or distributed processing." The help documentation is here: (I think) Simplify Polygon—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop But I can't seem to find anything on enabling parallel processing. Pro is only using ~15% of my available processing power when I run the tool on a large polygon with lots of unnecessary geometry. I can get close to 100% usage when using a tool like pairwise dissolve which I know is paralleled. Any ideas? It feels like I am missing something super basic. Any thoughts would be welcome arcis pro arc pro tools parallel processing

Wow thank you for such an in depth and well thought out response to my question Kelly Koenig! To give you more context, the punchline here is that I am planning on using the network analysis tools in pro to measure drive distance between a customer and a distributor. The distance between the two Lat/Long coordinates on the roads is used in other calculations outside of the GIS application. I have a hunch that splitting the files into two separate csv or excel files may be the way to go.

I have an excel file with about 200 rows. Each row has 6 columns. The first 3 columns in order are 'Distributor ID', 'Distributor Lat', and 'Distributor Long'. The next 3 columns are the same except that they're for the 'Customer ID', 'Customer Lat' and 'Customer Long'. Using the XY Table to point, I am able to access the Distributor Lat and Long, but the tool can't seem to find the Customer Lat and Long fields. Is there a tool that does this? Am I using the tool wrong? Do I just have to restructure my input table? Picture Included for reference.
