In the coming Experience Builder in ArcGIS Online update, closing the Edit widget when it's placed inside a Widget Controller, or another layout container widget, will stop editing. Also, a prompt to discard edits is displayed if there are any unsaved edits.

Hi @Brian_Mocci , I am curious to know if a relationship class between your parent project table layer and the asset layers would work in this case? Feature creation supports "batch" creation of multiple features at once, and you can use Calculated expressions in Forms to automatically grab the "project" attributes and write them into the child features fields (see example 2 in this blog). Here's a quick sample I created (this is ArcGIS Online, so it has all the latest functionality): Web Map > Related Projects and Assets Now, one remaining challenge is that the Edit widget in Experience Builder only supports editing table records (the Project table layer) while in "Attribute only" mode. And "Attribute mode" does not support creating the related Asset features as you can do in the Map Viewer. There may be some enhancement request for Experience Builder here; perhaps a way to launch "Add feature" from within the Table widget when the Edit widget is present as you see it in Map Viewer. One simple workaround for this "Attribute only" mode limitation, would be to use a Feature layer (e.g., polygon or point features) instead of a Table layer for Project records. Then the Edit widget can be used in "Interact with a Map widget" mode to edit both the project and asset features, and you'll be able to create related assets for every project. Another option, if you still need to use a Table layer for projects, could be to use the Web Editor instead. There is also a Web Editor Instant Apps template (in beta, for now) that you can configure. Example below:

Hi @RandyMcGregor_BMcD , If you are in ArcGIS Online, the label at the top for a selected feature you are editing should reflect the Pop-up title configured for the layer in the map (or saved against the layer item itself). If you are using an earlier version, such as an Enterprise version, this may be displaying the value from the Display Field, which you determine when you publish your feature service. This would be similar to this post> Edit Widget - Choosing the Asset Title to display ... - Esri Community, and to resolve this, you need to update the Display Field > How To: Change Display Field Using ArcGIS Server Services Directory REST API.

@JasonFitzsimmons Please it would be helpful if you could also create an idea with this request in the Web Editor community? > ArcGIS Web Editor Ideas - Esri Community All new copy-paste functionality is being built into the Web Editor and will then make it into Experience Builder eventually. Copy multiple and paste as one multi-part feature is something that we support in the Smart Editor widget in Web AppBuilder, and if this is functionality you still require, we should request it as part of the new copy-paste toolkit.

@JasonFitzsimmons , I checked with the team and it looks like this is a known issue in progress of being fixed. It may not make it to the upcoming release, but it should be resolved in the next one. Perhaps for now, a workaround could be to provide a Button widget to "refresh" the app? The user could hit that button if they want to easily refresh the app and see their changes.

Hi @BobFolsom2 ! Thank you for posting - please, would you mind sharing more details on the issue you encountered and how you resolved it? I've heard similar feedback before, so I assume there may be some usability challenge here we may want to address in the future! Thank you!

You could setup a message action to select related records/features when selecting a parent feature, and those selected related records would be loaded into the Edit widget for batch editing. Message action example: But since batch editing is not supported for the Attribute only mode in the Edit widget at this time, this way only work for related "features", not table records.

Does the copy/paste functionality in Web Editor retain photo attachments and/or will it in a future update? No, this is not supported and is still under consideration. I see you've logged an idea here: Copy and paste to include attachments/photos - Esri Community

Hi @codethemap , I think this will first require support to be added for batch editing when in Attribute only mode. See this related post > Add batch edit widget to experience builder
