@SDIGITAFB Copying features from non-editable reference layers in the map is supported. Here's a sample you can try out: Create Evacuation Zones The web map contains the USA ZIP Code Boundaries (a non-editable reference feature layer), along with the Evacuations editable hosted feature layer that you can paste into. Since the reference layer is not editable, you'll need to use other selection tools than the one included with the Edit widget to select the features to copy. For example, you can use the Select tool in the Map widget. You can also use the Add Data widget to add layers to the map use copy features from those layers to paste into your editable layers.

@Beany 's issue was identified as a bug in Enterprise 11.3 where the filtered value in Table layers is not being recognized in this use case. This bug was resolved in the November 2024 update of Experience Builder and should not occur in later builds of Experience Builder, also starting at Enterprise 11.5.

Hi @Bud , thank you for sharing. Copying a feature using one Edit widget and then Pasting it using another Edit widget is not a workflow we are currently supporting. If this is something you require, please submit an enhancement request via Esri Support. Thank you!

Hi @Bud , 1. Does a destination text field need to be as long (or longer) than the source field? Will the destination field be blank if it is shorter than the source field? Related: Copy Features for Experience Builder. Yes, the destination text field needs to be as long or longer than the source field, otherwise the attribute value will not be pasted. 2. Under what conditions would the Paste button in a different feature layer be available? (not be greyed out) Here are the conditions under which the Copy button will be grayed out: Here are the conditions under which the Paste buttons will be grayed out: Rules are the same as the functionality in Web Editor: Copy and paste features—ArcGIS Web Editor | Documentation

Have you ever made some experimental changes to a published app in the builder, solemnly promising to yourself that you would not click Save… and then—oops—you clicked Save anyway? 🤦 Now a cold dread washes over you. Your published app—the one happily living its best life out in the world—is still working exactly as expected. But the version in the builder? A total disaster. Nothing makes sense anymore, and you have no idea where to even begin putting it back together. Good news: All is not lost. No need to panic. You can still save the day. Note: This is a last resort workaround and may return some unexpected results. ___ Here's an example of a published app. This app had two pages: Trails and Resources. I deleted the Resources page and "accidently" hit Save. Now my app state has Unpublished changes. Here’s how to revert the changes saved in the draft, to bring it back in sync with the published app: Warning: follow the steps meticulously to avoid overwriting the published app with the draft app! Take a deep breath Go to the ArcGIS Assistant Sign in to your account with ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise, where your app resides Find your app in your Content Click the item to open the details, and click View item JSON Click the Data tab, then select and copy all the code (note: this is the code from the published app state) Go to Resources and open the config/config.json file (note: this is the code from the draft app state) Click Edit Resources Select all the code and paste the code you copied in step 6 Click Save Cross your fingers Go back to your app builder, hit refresh, and verify that your app changes have been reverted Celebrate! 🎉 Known issues with this workaround: Some text styling, such as font size, may not be preserved. ___ Tip Need to make changes to an app directly in the code? You can use the ArcGIS Assistant to modify the JSON for both the builder (draft) app and the published app. Make sure you apply your code changes to both the file under JSON Editor > Data, and the config.json file from the Resources tab for them to be reflected in both places!

@andrewdc_tt Unfortunately, this appears to be a known limitation for the charting engine we are using. Hopefully improvements in the future will prevent this from happening.

Hi @Beany ! Maybe we can take a closer look at your setup, to see where the catch may be. Are you able to share you project with me? Feel free to send me an email directly with the details so I can review your map and app, or we can setup a screenshare when is convenient > avezina@esri.com

Hi all, Copy and Paste in now available in Experience Builder in ArcGIS Online. It will also be available in Enterprise 12.1 which is targeted for May 2026. You can find it in the Edit widget, when using "Interact with a Map widget" Mode. The option is at the bottom of the Content panel, as part of the Advanced editing tools.
