Good Morning All, I've been tasked with populating a unit (Text Field) attribute in a specific data set. All units in this data are currently blank, BUT inside of the Unit Description field, there is a unit number, that in 99 % of the cases, follows the word "UNIT". So my question is this. Is it possible to create a python script to find the word "UNIT" in the Unit description field, Then populate the Unit field with all characters that follow that word? Thank you in advance for your responses and help -MD-

Good Morning! After an Enterprise update we switched from using ArcGIS Attribute assistant to the new arcGIS pro Attribute Rules. I'm trying to adapt rules that we already had in attribute assistant into attribute rules. Admittedly, I'm working on strengthening my arcade but I feel like this should be easy so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong and wanted to see if any of you fine people could help. I'm working with a parcel fabric, but what I am trying to do is to do an intersect between a parcel that is new or edited, intersect that with a zip code layer that lies within the same map as the parcels, and return the zip code to the parcel. i have looked through a lot of the Esri documentation and have come up with the code below. but get an error when I try to implement it. Current code i have in arcade is: var geom2 = Polygon({ZipCodes}); first( Intersects($layer, geom2) ); Return Zipcodes.ZIPCODE Am I missing something? it seems to be what i would think is easy but have had no luck yet. Thanks in advance with the help!

Brilliant! I'm trying a regular append right now and it seems to be moving pretty fast. Im going to create a service off of the append and a service from default on enterprise to see which one performs better but i really appreciate the help!

@Robert_LeClair I was just talking this over with my Director. Would this service be created directly from the editing enterprise geo with out any replication, and the editing capabilities turned off? That makes sense but I'm a little worried about performance on the editors end since their work is now service based as well.

@Robert_LeClair Thanks! ill give it a shot. Versioning for the replica may be a problem for me though as the editing database, where the data would be coming from, is already branch versioned. Have you come across any issues with anything like that?

Good Morning All, Wanted to rack your brains. I have an annotation layer that's in an editing environment. I want to copy over that FC to a Read Only environment for my services. The idea is to truncate and append every weekend because the anno FC is about 4 -5 million records and appending that data seems to take a long time. I have tried the Append Annotation feature class tool and it has taken it nearly 24 hours to complete. Does anyone have any ideas on how I may be able to speed this process up or perhaps a different methodology that may take a shorter amount of processing time with the same results? Thanks in advance!

Good Evening All, Had a question I wanted to ask you all because I've had no luck finding answers else where so I figured you all my be able to help me out. I am Currently going through an infrastructure migration and trying to automate some of the work that needs to be done. I have created a model to add fields and calculate said fields in an SDE database. the model creates the field fine but when I get to calculating the field, the model fails. I know to change attributes within a SDE fc you need to enable editing (and think this may have something to do with my issue) but I cant seem to figure out how to calculate the fields after they are added. any help would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance! -Mike-

Tanu Hoque My organization is currently running server 10.22 with an total architecture upgrade to come within the next three months. We have created a parcel viewer that lets users see their parcel from current date to 1995. is there any way for us to be able dynamically add the date of the map being viewed to the custom print templates. our concern is people using one date and saying its from another? is this possible at 10.22, is it possible with our upcoming upgrade to 10.7 or is this a limitation we may not be able to overcome

I love this widget and use it for a historical parcel viewer. however every time the map is changed the splash screen (our disclaimer) is shown again. is it possible to just get the splash on the loading of the application but not every time the webmap changes?

Hello All, I work for a Local Government in Ohio and we are creating a parcel viewer of sorts. I have all the maps and most of the application created using WAB 2.13 but am running into a problem I cant seem to wrap my head around. We have the about widget opening on default when the application is initiated. This is where we are going to place our disclaimer as well as some text about how to use the application but wanted to make it easier for the user and put an accordion or tabs within the widget so they can click on one and see the disclaimer then click on another and see the how-to rather then jamming them all in together but cant seem to get it to work properly within the existing and out of the box about widget. Can someone help me complete either getting the accordion (preferable) or the tabs into the widget or where i can go to being to learn how to do this. I should be able to manipulate the tabs and the text after i have the framework added to the widget but cant seem to get it to work correctly.

Good Afternoon, I am using an older version of the E search widget as we are still running arc server 10.22 (upgrading next month) but there seems to be a bug in whichever version of the widget that we are using where the default search type is set to by shape even when in the configuration of the widget it is set to by value. I'm not sure how to fix it and thought maybe an updated version of with widget may have addressed this. However, I wanted to know if there were certain releases of the widget that may not be compatible for us because we are running server 10.22. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike

Good Afternoon Ryan, Definitely following this thread. I have also came across this. I work for Franklin County Ohio's Auditors Office so i think it is safe to assume that we are dealing with similar issues. For our parcel viewer we created an annotation class and published that class to AGOL or server respectively. I used the annotation to do all the labeling for the app rather then the data that is published. Obviously creating an annotation class for hundreds of thousands of parcels is not only time consuming but a rather large file. We are currently working on creating a historic parcel viewer where you can see the changes in parcels and dimensions through the years but because of time and space were not going to create 20 something annotation classes to use on a single application so i share the same feeling about AGOL having issues with labels. But you may want to look into Creating an annotation class and then publishing that as a service. Please let me know if you find a work around within AGOL. Mike
