Kara glossed over her second step in her solution. "Adjust your sharing levels" means that the PDF must be shared at the "Public" level. This is the only way to access the URL in the lower right corner of the overview page.

Thanks again Bern! I can't wait to see what I can come up with in the new map viewer. I just created a new map and new app experience this morning, definitely a cleaner and improved viewing experience! And good news, all of my original HTML "tricks" transferred over perfectly.

Thanks Bern! I'm finally forcing myself to learn the new map viewer. I've been custom coding pop-ups for years with the old map viewer, but it looks like the new one is ready to accept HTML for that customized look and feel that we require in our maps and apps. The new viewer is different, but it is time to adapt and improve 🙂 Do you know what version of HTML the new map viewer is using? The old map viewer was limited but I'm excited to see how much HTML we can now inject into the popup.

How do you convert the new map viewer to a custom web app? We use custom web apps all the time to distribute maps and information. It would be a huge loss if we can't do that anymore.

Thanks Johannes, your solution code worked perfectly. Just to make sure I learned and not just copied: You assign a variable, in this case it is open_days and the = [] allows you to add to it later in the formula? The Push command takes the output from the If statement and adds it to the variable. At the end you are Returning the values from the If statements and adding a comma to the output for readability. This was awesome, thank you again!

Hello, I'm trying to write 1 arcade expression. In my table I have a field for Sunday; Monday; Tuesday; etc. The data is either a 1 if a work crew is at that location on that day or a 0 if they are not. I want my expression to list the days of the week they are at each location but I'm only able to return the first instance with my formulas. I tried and IF and Else IF statement if($feature["USER_SUNDAY"] == 1) {return " Su "} else if($feature["USER_MONDAY"] == 1) {return " M "} else if($feature["USER_TUESDAY"] == 1) {return " Tu "} else if($feature["USER_WEDNESDAY"] == 1) {return " W "} else if($feature["USER_THURSDAY"] == 1) {return " Th "} else if($feature["USER_FRIDAY"] == 1) {return " F "} else if($feature["USER_SATURDAY"] == 1) {return " Sa "} And also tried a nested statement: iif($feature["USER_SUNDAY"] == 1,'Su', iif($feature["USER_MONDAY"] == 1,'M', iif($feature["USER_TUESDAY"] == 1,'Tu', iif($feature["USER_WEDNESDAY"] == 1,'W', iif($feature["USER_THURSDAY"] == 1,'Th', iif($feature["USER_FRIDAY"] == 1,'F', iif($feature["USER_SATURDAY"] == 1,'Sa',NONE))))))) I even tried replacing IIF with When but achieved the same result. The formulas only return the first day a crew is at a location and won't combine the days if they are there more than once in the PopUp. Is this possible or do I need to create an expression for each day of the week and then add it to my PopUp? Thanks!

The only solution I ever found was to create multiple text boxes across the screen and then add each card to each text box. The Text boxes will auto align to the center. It is a cumbersome solution though. You can also try to add the following code to your DIV: <div style="text-align: center;">

Do we know what version of HTML they using in the new Map Viewer? I know the old Map Viewer Classic used some old HTML so I'm wondering if I need to update all my coding. For example, are the incorporating CSS now?

That is interesting and unfortunate. The only other recommendation I can make is to create a group in AGOL, add the hub and the storymaps to the group along with your users. It is strange that once your users are logged into the hub that they need to enter credentials again for the story map. If all else fails you can log a case with ESRI technical support. I've had good experiences with them in the past. Best of luck!

Hi Katelyn, we just started using SAML at our organization. I have the same type of users as you do. What I did was first set up their organization account through my ArcGIS Online (AGOL) portal. I then either sent them their invitation email or, if I was standing behind their shoulder, emailed them a link to our AGOL portal. I had them open this link first to establish the account and then I emailed them a direct link to the Hub site that I wanted them to use. Going forward they only have to click on the link to the hub site and you can even create a desktop icon for them. So far so good but if I run across any issues from my users I'll post an update. We run an Azure AD system over here so Edge seems to be working the best when it comes to remembering user's credentials. Hope this helps.

In ArcGIS Hub I'm using the application card and inserting a web app. Under Options I have set the Allow Scrolling to No but when publishing the hub site it is not working. When a user scrolls through the website with their mouse wheel and the mouse pointer hovers over the app, the map zooms in/out. Is this a known bug?

Unfortunately no. My workflow still consists of either creating a second layer and moving the symbols via the editing tool or by creating a PDF and moving them in Adobe. I've heard rumors that ESRI is trying to create a fix for this, but nothing too concrete so far. My best suggestion is to keep bringing it up to ESRI and your ESRI account manager. Hopefully enough squeaky wheels will get some solutions!

Hi Dan Thanks for the free toolset download! Just a couple of quick questions. The first is the Extent command doesn't seem to work when selecting a polygon layer in the TOC. The minimum spacing of points, what unit of measure is this? I have my workspace projected in the WGS_194_Web Mercator Auxiliary_Sphere projection. Here is my end goal: I want to find all areas of population in the state of Wisconsin that have at least 10,000 population in a 10 mile buffer. After reading your post my theory is this: place random points with a minimum distance of 10 miles in the Wisconsin polygon border. Create buffers around each point, enrich with population, select buffers that meet population criteria. Run this analysis 5 times for accuracy. My original GeoNet Question: How to determine areas with a minimum population within a minimum distance The most ideal end goal would be a "heat map" appearance of areas that meet the population and distance criteria. It's quite the math problem though since I am proposing a moving target of buffer locations. Essentially I want to tell the computer to drop a point on the map, create a buffer, enrich with population, determine if greater than 10,000. However, the trick is telling the computer a minimum distance to drop the points next to each other, so it doesn't move the points every 10 feet or something similar. Your create spaced points tool might just get me close enough, I think! Thanks.

Thanks for the reply Jacob. The situation is though that I want to create the buffers, and then enrich them with population to determine if they meet the minimum 15k. The problem is that the buffer is now a moving target, with an unknown number of possibilities. The trick is creating a process that can create a buffer, determine the population, and then move on to another area. Or, if we stick to census blocks only, then figure out a way to aggregate the census blocks within a 3 mile area, determine if their populations meet the 15k pop threshold, and then display it on a map for reference. I keep thinking that the end result would look like an IDW analysis, or as some would call it: a "heat map", with the areas colored to show that they meet the population threshold. It can also be thought of a suitability analysis, but with the population per area unknown and needed to be determined.

I can create a 3 mile buffer around a point and enrich the buffer with population. With multiple points and multiple buffers I can then determine which buffers have a minimum population of 15,000 people. But now I want to determine all areas that have a minimum population of 15,000 within a 3 mile radius in a given study area, like the state of Wisconsin. Is this even possible without breaking the computer?
