Support for OGC services within experience builder. Currently, experience builder only supporting ESRI services. 🤔 Web app builder does support OGC: Even if you have an OGC service within a web map and point your EB app to your web map, the OGC services do not show. Tested with WMS and WFS.

Sorry, I have an ex-coworker with the same name as you and I thought you where him. I thought it would be funny to troll him. My apologies.

Thanks Jonathan, We're running 10.8.1 on DEV and 10.7.1 on TEST and PROD. That's correct, only our install paths are different. So you're saying on my 10.8.1 enterprise, I can: Create a WebGIS DR backup of my enterprise. Uninstall portal and reinstall in different path. Then restore the WebGIS DR backup? This would be amazing. I didn't try it because of documentation you quoted above.

There is no way to change portal install directory. One of our analyst made a typo during portal install a couple of years ago. He installed portal PROD in a different path than DEV, TEST and QA. So we have to live with this mistake until ESRI provides the ability to change directory. Why is this a problem? We waste many hours troubleshooting and testing during extended outages when going to PROD because PROD is different than all other environments. So nothing can be properly tested. Any automation that utilizes portal tools (exe, batch files, etc) will break for us when going to production. For example WebGISDR backups, will work on DEV, TEST, QA and will break on PROD because the path is different and we have to update paths and retest in PROD. Same thing happens every time we do enterprise upgrades or server OS upgrades. It makes having these other dev and test environments seem pointless because we're inevitably having to TEST everything in a PRODUCTION environment causing more down time than really necessary. What we tried: It's not possible to use WebGISDR tool to migrate to a new server in a new install path. And it's also not possible to setup a high availability cluster to install portal in a different directory on the second node. Contacting premium support: They say it's not possible.

Thanks Cameron, I'm looking to change the install directory (D:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Portal). I was going to try your 5-year-old approach, but based on your recollection of them needing to be the same, i'll keep searching for a different workaround. Thanks again! Carlos K.

Anyone have ideas of how I can change the installation directory in portal? I contacted support and they say it's not possible, but many times I've found solutions or workarounds to things support says are not possible. Looking for thinking outside the box. I cannot migrate using WebGISDR tool or a High-availability setup because installation path needs to be the same in both these methods of migration. I'm thinking there has be a registry hack, postgres find and replace or something that could be done. Thanks!

Thanks Cameron, I saw these the only thing is i'm trying to find a way to change installation paths on the new machine and both those workflows require the new machine to be on the same installation path as the old machine. So i'm desperate for a solution and premium support said changing directory cannot be done. But if this really worked for you, I'm still interested. Given my situation, would you still recommend against this workflow? If so, why? Carlos K.

My solution was this: Move non-editable layers to the bottom of the layer list. I always had HasM: false. TLDR; I had a web map with layers from multiple hosted feature services (HFS). Some services where editable and others where not. I noticed if I opened the editable HFS within it's own new web map, I could move points around with no problem. I could NOT move points in the original web map with all the services. I was comparing JSONs, nothing much there that stood out, but out of sheer luck I turned off the visibility of the non-editable layers and I was able to move my editable points. But I needed to view non-editable layers, so I moved them to the bottom of the list and vualá!

Our Business case: For every one of our construction projects we have contractors from about a dozen separate companies contributing data. These contractors need to be able to extract a Geodatabase (FGDB) to work with (disconnected) using their tools in THEIR environment. They may even import it into their own SDE. Many of them are permitting specialists, surveyors, engineers, etc. They use tools like CAD to complete their work then re-sync the FGDB back into a version of our SDE. Offline Sync in ArcPro doesn't cut it. The offline Geodatabase is a black box and can't be exported or imported in any way. We need data management tools in Pro and it would be nice if those tools could be used with offline geodatabases.
