Even though I'm within the cofines of what my IT sets up at work, this is good info to know. At least worth a suggestion. 🙂

Honestly, I was/am workign within the confines of what my work IT department offers, so my choices are made for me. The Virtual Machine was fine for basic mapping and a little ArcGIS Pro work, but for analysis or more complicated symbology (i.e. the real reason for using Pro), it kept crashing and hanging. It came around to a lack of a dedicated graphics card, so they moved me off the Virtual Machine and to a tower set up with Citrix Workspace.

This is great! I also find that the number pad sometimes covers the entire screen on smaller screens (iphones), then we have numbers entered wrong as the user tries to scroll down to the next question.

I have had good results with Citrix Workspace. Virtual Machine did not work out well, but a physical computer remoted into through Citrix Workspace did the trick.

Thank you @HeatherBell, @KKelechenyi and @Levon_H for verifying that it's not just me. When I go to update that layer next, I'll have to get some Tech support - unless someone else has an idea... If I find anything, I'll update this post.

Thank you @BriannaEttley for the feedback. Totally understand the different roles the Esri boards play vs job boards. Also, thank you for the link.

I want to put a vote of support for this. I think a lot of us are looking for or would be willing to provide gig work for our GIS skills The issue is around both sides being protected from issues. Some mechanism to make sure the poster of the gig is legit and will pay - as well as a way to guarantee the qualifications and completeness of the job before payment. There are several sources out there for gig work, but from my experience they tend to be a lot of noise and really hard to get jobs from and find the kind of skills you need. Something more focused on ESRI products and with a more “filtered” user base of ESRI community members would be great.

I will work on getting the xlsx document anonymized. There are a few pull data and choice lists that will need to be de anonymous before sharing. Been troubleshooting all day and have landed on the where clause being the issue but can't figure out why. If I can get that xlsx doc anonymized, I'll upload it this week. Thank you @abureaux for your help and ideas.

Thank you for the troubleshooting ideas. The report behaves the same with and without the summary section. I used only one part of the where clause (Results1 = 'pos') - same behavior. Guess I'll still poke at it. 🙂

Hello, I have been working at this for a while and cannot seem to figure out what's going on. I worked with ESRI Tech Support on pat of this, but am still having issues. hoping someone in the Community can help me before reopening the ticket. I have a Survey123 Report Template. In the template, I have a summary section at the top (that's what Tech Support helped with) and a section below for individual entries. What I want to do is filter on the Survey123 website for a particular criterion (Sampling ID). In the body of the report, I only want details for a subset of the filtered entries (the individual items that were positive). I'm working with non-GIS users, so trying to make the process as streamlined as possible. Problem: When I run the report using the attached template, it does everything correctly (only the selected results are tabulated at the top and only the subset are in the "body".) Problem is that the "body" entries are repeated several times (a report for two entries is 120 pages long). Solutions tried (all with the same result of a 120-page report): - The number of pages doesn't seem to be related to any other numbers (total entries, filtered entries, etc.) - made all "smart quotes" into straight quotes - removed a nested filter in the analysis table - searched Google and the Community for answers - pulled out hair Thank you in advance for any help on this.

@DougBrowning - Thank you so much for your numerous contributions and advice you have given the community. I have a couple of heavily used scripts that are a direct result of your examples and advice (and countless other tidbits here and there). Seriously would not be able to do some of the things I do without you.

I would like the ability to reorder fields in the actual table of the Feature Service (more than just visualization). Visualizations work well for most purposes (seeing it on a map, use in dashboards, etc.). The use scenario: I have a form I developed in Survey123 Connect. The data from this form is exported to a spreadsheet for further processing. The order of fields in that exported spreadsheet are important, so I designed the form to have the fields in a certain order, published the form, then redesigned the form to match field workflow. After republishing, the columns on the spreadsheet are in the same order they were originally (as designed and expected). Now, I need to add an additional column to the spreadsheet. When I add a field through AGOL or Survey123 Connect, the field adds to the end of the spreadsheet. Since the service is already published, this is to the "right" of several system fields (Collection Date, etc.). The columns in the spreadsheet then need to be reordered before further processing, adding a step (and potential errors) into the process. Thank you for your consideration. Community, if you like this idea, give it a thumb up so we can tell the ESRI team we need this. Even better, add your own use case. Thanks.

Thank you, Miguel. I appreciate the confirmation that there isn't a real clean way of doing this. I will assess further if the workarounds will work for this project. Seems like something easy to implement, but I'm no computer programmer, so maybe it's not as straightforward as it seems. Brandon PS If changing the order of fields in a feature service without republishing the service is something you also want to see, please go to this link and vote up the idea. While you're there, add in your own use case. The more we can say this is something we need, the more likely it is to get implemented. Thanks. Change order of Feature Service Fields - Esri Community

I have looked online and cannot find an answer. Is there a way to simply reorder the fields in a Feature Service? I have a Feature Service that is exported to an Excel document, then further processed. The order of the fields is important for the next processing step. I now need to add a field to the service. When the data is exported, the field is at the end of the table. I need the field to be between two existing fields. Short of republishing the whole feature service (and messing with the forms and dashboards associated with it), is there a way to reorder the fields in the service (and not just the visualization, the actual table). Thank you.

Is there a way to reorder the fields in the feature service itself? I export the table as an Excel for further processing. I recently had to add a field and it put it at the end, making the next step much mor difficult for the user. Thanks.
