I know this is an older post, but in case someone else runs into this like I did, here's what I found. I just had a very similar thing happen. Could not figure out what went wrong, so I started eliminating complexities. I had to disable the grid layout on my form, then it would open in the Field App on my computer and iPhone. Couldn't find exactly where this is documented, but that's what worked for me. Good luck out there!

Within the limitations of data types, I agree that this would be very helpful. The data type of the field can dictate how they appear or dashboards, in the Survey123 Field App, etc. I would even be okay if it wouldn't do it, but specify the data that doesn't fit or provide a way to review the data before converting. This would allow me to go through and update/edit the non-conforming data then complete the conversion.

This would be very helpful as a way to help keep things streamlined. I work with a lot of non-GIS, tech adverse people. The barrier of save, close the software, and reopen is more than they are willing to do. So, we get surveys in the wrong locaiton or (marginally better) at 0, 0.

I struggle with this sort of thing as well. I came here to suggest something similar to what @ThomasHoman suggested. I will sometimes use two or more attributes of a symbol to symbolize a specific item (ex all water samples are drops and soil is a bag of dirt - then I use something like outline style to define different specific types of water or dirt sample) - I don't know if this is necessarily accessible though. I wonder if you could use a single letter code rather than a symbol - would that make it more accessible (I don't know)? I'm following to see what others come up with. Interesting question.

This becomes an issue for me as well. I will often work on designs and tests of Surveys and call them "Survey XYZ BETA" or something so there isn't confusion on which version should be used. Sometimes I want to make that form "Live", so I'll remove all Beta references from the form name and details, but the spreadsheet and the AGOL folder are now, forever, named "Beta". Also, if there is a reason why it doesn't change all the names - maybe an option or tool to change all the names when needed would be good.

That would work as well. I still see the value in having it integrated into Survey123 so that it's a "one stop shop" for field staff so they don't have to pull up a dashboard.

This would be great for automated Feature Reports and consistency for later analysis.

@Neal_t_k - That looks like it would work for static (PDF) reports, but not a live view of individual records. I interpreted @SĮVilniausplanasISDV as wanting a "view only" version of the form with the repeat sorted by a custom field. I use a similar implementation for a form that tracks disaster response follow ups. The form has a "main" portion for a specific license holder's details (read only on the dashboard), then an embedded repeat that is used as a call log. It would be great to sort by a field in the repeat (such as call date/time) so that the form embedded in the dashboard is more user friendly.

To add in, if repeat entries could be visualized as a table in Survey123, that would be great. This way users could keep track of key data and check for completeness easily, rather than relying on just quantity. For example, I have a form where users must enter a series of activities in a repeat (for a violation, we did A, C, and E intervention for example). It would be great to see, at a glance, the interventions already entered to avoid duplicate entries and/or having to scroll through the whole "stack" of repeats.

This would help with quick visualization when others expect things in certain colors (for example, here in the U.S., Yes - green and no - red)

Hi All - Is there a playlist or setlist for the music used at the Esri User Conference in San Diego this year? Especially the songs used during the plenary and in the main hall during sessions. I tried to capture a few, but I didn't keep up very well and there was some good stuff to put on in the the background while I map. I have seen posts from previous years, but I don't see on for 2025. PS - whoever chose the music - well done! Nice mix of styles and genres, all keeping in a positive and inspirational theme.

Agreed that this would really help workflows. The high quality photos that iPhones gather are great, but not usually needed for our purposes.

@SWT_TL- Is this an external choice list (csv)? I have had issues with external choice lists not being shared to the same group as the form (i.e. user can access the form, but not the choice list). You can update sharing for the external choice similarly to other items in your portal.

I agree that this option would be great. I don't always need to include the symbology when I create a view layer, but I put a significant amount of time into the visualizations and pop-ups for my layers that are widely used. It would be really nice to have an option to take that customization with me when I create a view layer for a specific purpose. This would save time and keep branding and symbology consistent across applications. Also, this should be an option, not the default. I would think it would be annoying for many uses if the view layer always inherited the customization from the parent layer. Many times (most of the time), I am pulling out a single data type, so points on the map are just fine and bringing over more complex symbology is not necessary or informative.
