This worked beautifully in Excel. Thank you so much! PS - while this one is equally correct, I feel obligated to choose the ArcGIS Pro solution as correct given the forum. I will keep this in my pocket though. 🙂

I have a table of Identifiers and Types. There are a limited number of types (say 5) and each identifier can have one or more of these types. Each Identifier and class type in a different record and they all have an address (so they all generate a point). The table looks something like this: Identifier | Class 123 | A 123 | C 234 | A 456 | C 456 | B I'm trying to find a way to put this on a map so there is one point for each Identifier and a single field showing classes. The table would look something like this: Identifier | Classes 123 | A, C 234 | A 456 | B, C I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make this happen in ArcGIS Pro or in Excel even. I'm hoping someone has at least a direction for me. Thanks. Brandon

In case anyone else runs across this, I think I have created a workaround using "Tasks". I have created a task that walks the user through the process of uploading and geocoding the addresses. I have made a lot of the steps hidden and automatically run so that the user doesn't have to click a bunch (or make a wrong selection). The key to this issue was making the step that involved rematching "manual". This way, the user has to initiate and go through the rematch process before moving forward. I would still appreciate suggestions so I can better automate the process, but this seems to serve the purpose for now.

Thank you for the suggestion. I could not find a way to expose the rematch tool as a parameter from the model. I am open to suggestions though.

Hello - I am designing a model to use in a tool that involves geocoding a list of addresses. I am looking for a way to get my model to bring up the interactive address rematch tool, allow the user to rematch addresses, then put them back into the model to finish the analysis. I am currently using ArcGIS Pro, but would also be willing to explore an easy Web App solution. Also, this is for non-GIS users, so minimizing the steps, effort, and technical user experience is helpful. Thank you in advance for any assistance on this. Brandon

I am looking for a way to export the analysis I have done in Insights into another format. Something like a PDF, image, etc. Specifically, I have created a really beautiful, informative chart and another great map. Now, I would like to include those as figures in a report I am writing. I have searched the documentation for Insights and found how to export the data into a table, but I would like the actual results of the analysis. I also found the "Print Page" function, but the best I could do with that is create a PDF of one printed page of the analysis page, then is really hard to size and pull out in good quality. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Thank you so much, Jim! It looks like making that filed length longer has solved the issue. I really appreciate you taking a look at it. If testing the form in Survey123 Connect could reveal these issues, that would be great. It's my understanding that the field length cannot be changed once published, so to change them I have to completely republish the form and then go find the old versions and get rid of them later. I'm running out of unique names! 🙂 Brandon

Hi, Jim - Thank you for your response. I do have select_one questions. I don't think I have changed the options since publishing, but just in case I republished a fresh survey (using the same spreadsheet) and it kicked back the same error. I edited a few items to make it more anonymous, so here's the spreadsheet for the form I'm working with. Thanks for your help. Brandon#

I have created a form in Survey 123 Connect. I tested it in Connect, no problems. I uploaded it to AGOL and tried to submit a response through the desktop app, no good. When I attempt to submit a completed form though the iPad or desktop Survey123 apps, it returns an error: SEND ERROR - This survey was not able to be sent due to the following error: - string or binary data would be truncated. The statement has been terminated. - Do you want to edit this survey? Yes - No I have done some research and spent several hours troubleshooting. I see a few places which talk about this happening when the field length of a calculated field exceeds the length allowed by the feature service. I do not seem to have that problem (the only calculated field that is relevant in this submission is a field that combines text and I already made the field length for that field and the fields it is combining appropriate). Also attempted to publish it as a completely new survey and that didn't solve the problem either. So, what could be causing this and how do I fix it? I can attach the spreadsheet I'm using to make the form, but I would have to change a few things for confidentiality and am trying to avoid chasing down those bugs too. Thank you in advance for your help.

That seems to have solved the problem. Had to copy and paste the XLSForm into a brand new form and start all over. Thank you.

I have a form with two fields, or at least 2 of interest. One (Facility_Name) is a text field that the user inputs the facility name (i.e. Place's Name). I have another field in which I am trying to create a file name of sorts (FileName). This field needs to take the Facility_Name information and put it into the file name without spaces or special characters (i.e. PlacesName). The names are not consistent format, so I can't use something like the substr function. Is there a formula or other way to do this? I haven't been able to find one. Thanks.

Yes, they are created and visible both on Survey123 site and ArcGIS Online portal. When I download the Excel table, they are also there with no data in any of the rows. Here's a screen shot of the fields that should be missing from the feature service and one of the results when I submit an entry as viewed from Survey123 website. Thank you for your help.

Hello Brandon - Nice name! 🙂 Attached is a portion of the XLS Form document I am using. I am trying to use the null feature for lines 3-6 (PrePack, Refrigerated, ShelfStable) and line 17-19 (PkgSizeOz, PkgNum, SampleSize6). I want to use the first set as criteria to allow the user to continue the form. The second set are collected to ensure a sufficient sample size. Just as a note, I was using the "hidden" field type, then having the end user remove those columns before transferring to our other data scheme, but that is cumbersome and the data isn't really needed once the criteria are met. Also, if anyone sees other improvements, please let me know. I'm fairly new to Survey123, so I am definitely open to suggestions.
