Change order of Feature Service Fields

I would like the ability to reorder fields in the actual table of the Feature Service (more than just visualization). Visualizations work well for most purposes (seeing it on a map, use in dashboards, etc.).

The use scenario: I have a form I developed in Survey123 Connect. The data from this form is exported to a spreadsheet for further processing.  The order of fields in that exported spreadsheet are important, so I designed the form to have the fields in a certain order, published the form, then redesigned the form to match field workflow. After republishing, the columns on the spreadsheet are in the same order they were originally (as designed and expected).  Now, I need to add an additional column to the spreadsheet. When I add a field through AGOL or Survey123 Connect, the field adds to the end of the spreadsheet. Since the service is already published, this is to the "right" of several system fields (Collection Date, etc.). The columns in the spreadsheet then need to be reordered before further processing, adding a step (and potential errors) into the process.

Thank you for your consideration.

Community, if you like this idea, give it a thumb up so we can tell the ESRI team we need this. Even better, add your own use case.  Thanks.

We have a hosted feature service with over 100 fields.  It would be extremely helpful if we could permanently change the order to group them in a more logical fashion.  Many of these fields have been added over the last 5 years to meet evolving regulatory requirements.

In my case, having the option to permanently reorder feature service fields would save time in having to reorder the fields manually in Excel or the attribute table. I like to keep fields used to capture "other" values next to its "parent" field, so it doesn't lose context or create confusion when looking in Excel or the attribute table. For example, if a species field has the value 'other species', I want to be able to see the other species in the next field and not have to scroll through the table looking for the "other species" field.
