Looking for the download for ArcHydro 3.3 as mentioned in the recent blog post here: https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-pro/public-safety/understand-flooding-using-arcgis-pro-with-new-flood-simulation-workflows-arc-hydro-and-the-flood-impact-analysis-solution/ Version 3.2 doesn't seem to load correctly in the latest version of Pro. Do we have an ETA on when the newest version will be released?

One of the things I love about developing apps with ESRI is they use the same SDKs we do to build their production apps. In this case Survey123 (and I suspect QuickCapture) are built with the ArcGIS Maps SDK for QT (https://developers.arcgis.com/qt/) which supports cross platform development but breaks most of the native platform UI conventions and make it difficult to support capabilities like external GNSS devices. Field Maps on the other hand is built using the native SDK for each platform (Android, iOS) which gives it a much more consistent UI and the ability to use each platforms unique capabilities to their fullest extent. So given the currently available runtime SDKs .net is probably the only path forward.

Unfortunately Microsoft has been all over the place with their dev technologies lately. We certainly have had our own struggles trying to plan and roadmap our own apps given their tendency to just axe entire product lines via press release. With the Runtime SDK for WPF being retired and given the state of the Xamarin/.net MAUI transition the last couple of years ESRI's decision to go the WSA route is understandable. With .net MAUI now approaching something resembling production-ready it might be the best path forward to bring Field Maps back to Windows tablets. They totally had the rug pulled out from under them with this announcement, but my hope is that if enough customers can demonstrate the need to continue Field Maps on Windows they'll be able to devote resources to a .net MAUI implementation. Personally we only use Windows tablets with Field Maps for field work in secure locations that don't allow cameras (iPads). This represents a tiny but important fraction of our usage.

This seems highly unlikely, however Field Maps is built with the same Native Apps SDKs available to any developer, and there are many open source samples available on ESRI's GitHub

Interesting idea - I don't believe ESRI has plans to support navigation in Field Maps, instead kicking you over to the default system app for that purpose. However I could definitely see some use cases where it would be super handy to be able to quickly collect a point with some pre-configured options via the in-dash display. Things like pavement management and debris surveys come to mind.

Your Powershell coordinates are in Lat/Long and your AGSLocation coordinates are in Web Mercator. Sorry - misread the original post. Not sure what the discrepancy is however I've noticed on a few occasions that the AGSLocation objects in my maps seem to start general and then "snap" to a more accurate location after a few seconds.

We also maintain a large-scale VDI environment for Pro (currently 3.1). We've had numerous reports of performance issues and strange behavior with graphics and graphics layers when using Virtual Desktops. Curious if you ever solved your performance issues when working with Graphics?

Yes - we used to have one of these ASP licenses we used to host data for a bunch of small county mapping websites. Since ESRI discontinued the (very expensive) ASP license I believe most of those have transitioned to small AGOL accounts that serve basically the same purpose, but include all the ready-made apps and tools. These days, depending on what your ultimate goal is, I'd probably look at ArcGIS Platform to host data or look into the PDS (Project Delivery Subscription) options for AGOL and Portal.

This is great - I totally missed that this was added way back at 100.3 and have been using a separate WMM implementation to calculate magnetic declination. Do you know if this is using the NGS COF data and updated as they release adjustments/updates?

What basemap are you using? If it's imagery take a look at this old post: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-runtime-sdk-for-ios-questions/slow-laggy-performance-when-doing-map-identify/m-p/4752#M47 Query/Identify tasks will hit the image basemap and take a while to respond... We've had to specifically exclude that layer from query tasks to work around that issue for years now.

Would also love to see ESRI address this. We have plenty of use-cases where we need dynamic text in map series to be aligned to the bottom of a text frame. The fact that we can't do this in Pro in version 3.1 is sort of baffling.

ESRI's product naming can get a bit confusing, and it might help if we straighten out the terminology you are using when requesting licenses. ArcGIS Enterprise: Includes on-premise Portal and ArcGIS Server ArcGIS Online: Cloud hosted service that is a Portal and the ability to publish and host data layers There is no product called "ArcGIS Online Portal". If you are interested in a hosted solution like ArcGIS Online you essentially will need to purchase named users for people to access the system, and credits to cover the different cloud-based functionality (storing data, serving features, performing analysis, etc...). If I was looking to set up an organization with the the items you list I'd be looking at something like this 150 viewer licenses: 150 viewer users @ $110 each/yr 5 ArcGIS Pro Licenses: 5 GIS Professional Standard Licenses @ $3,025 each/yr 10 ArcGIS Editor Licenses: 10 GIS Professional Standard Licenses @ $3,025 each/yr The GIS Professional Standard License is what's called an AGOL Foundational User Type which means it includes an AGOL Creator named user and 500 credits. So with this configuration you'd end up with 7500 AGOL credits which should more than cover hosting 100 feature layers. If your 100 layers includes raster (aerial imagery or other big raster data) you might need to purchase additional credits for storage. So all in you'd be looking at something like $60k per year. Now to compare that to ArcGIS Enterprise (on-premise Portal) and ignoring the additional considerations like purchasing the hardware/VM resources to host everything we are looking at: ~$18k for a perpetual Enterprise/Portal Standard license itself (I don't remember the exact number), then $5k/ maintenance 5 Enterprise GIS Standard Users @ $7,000/yr, then $2,750/yr maintenance 10 Enterprise Editor Licenses @ $800/yr, then $200/yr maintenance Enterprise includes "unlimited" viewers to you don't need to purchase licenses for that So roughly $61k for the first year and ~$20k/yr maintenance... plus physical or virtual machines to support. These numbers are based on the (limited) pricing I could find on ESRI's site and publicly available pricing schedules like this one (https://purchasing.idaho.gov/wp-content/uploads/ESRI_Price_List_2022.pdf). Pricing increased a bit for 2023 so nothing should be taken as gospel.

Not sure what you can do to reduce the size, but this is typical from what I've seen in apps (Android & iOS) using the ESRI Runtime. Is there a specific issue with the app being that size?

At the recent MAUI community standup (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_BPHi_NkqI) it didn't seem like there was much, if any, momentum on implementing ARCore support in MAUI. Given the recent reported staffing changes across Microsoft's AR-related product lines I wouldn't be surprised if it was never implemented. Might be up to the community to implement if possible.
