Unfortunately, I have not. The really weird part is that some days it works and some days it doesn't. I've spent hours trying to get it to work one day and the next day it runs with no problem. I wish I had better news.

I have a Python script that goes through several steps including using arcpy.analysis.SummarizeWithin(). When I run the script in the Python window of ArcGIS Pro it works just fine. When I run the script in an IDE like Spyder or Visual Studio Code sometimes I get the ERROR 100014 code; and sometimes it works. I am completely baffled why sometimes it works sometimes and not others. All of the datasets are the same each time. Any suggestions?

That sounds like what mine was doing. Did you try installing with command line?

I think the other posts explain everything. Basically trying to clone the 2.9.2 Python environment was not working.

There seems to be an issue with the default environment when using ArcGIS Pro 2.9. I uninstalled 2.9.2, reinstalled 2.9 and had the same problems. I uninstalled 2.9, reinstalled 2.8 and the 2.8.6 patch and now I am able to install and use Spyder.

There is always something wrong with the cloned environment every time I make a clone. Is it possible there are problems in the default environment? I may try reinstalling ArcGIS Pro.

That explains it. How do I fix the clone? I tried installing Spyder using command line and it keeps giving me errors that a bunch of packages conflict. Do I need to uninstall ArcGIS Pro and reinstall it first?

I'm not sure if this is related; when I add a cloned environment and click OK I just get a blue bar that keeps going across the bottom of the window. I'm not sure if my issue is with Spyder or the Python environments.

I have upgraded to ArcGIS Pro 2.9.2 but I am having trouble installing Spyder and managing my virtual environments. When I clone a virtual environment it does not appear on the list of environments in ArcGIS Pro; if I add it, close and then re-open ArcGIS Pro it still does not appear on the list. When a cloned environment does appear on the list and I try to install Spyder it appears to go through the installation but in the end nothing is installed. How can I get Spyder installed? Thanks

Exporting the layers multivalue parameter to a text file works great. I am able to use that same text file to populate the layers multivalue parameter and then I can remove any layers that I don't want.

I have the script working right now; it just takes layers and copies them to a file geodatabase. I already created the option to save the list of layers to a text file; this consists of a check box and an input for where to save the text file. What I would like to do is have something similar for retrieving the list of layers from the text file. So I would have a checkbox to import the layers from the text file and a parameter to designate the text file. I have been able to save the list of layers by saving the parameter.valueAsText to the text file. I am trying to set it so once the user checks the box and designates a text file and it sets the parameter.value equal to the text in the file. I tested it with layers from a geodatabase and the layers parameter populated all of the layers from the text file. What I need to do is get it to work with layers in an sde connection.

I am trying to create a Python toolbox that will copy feature classes from an enterprise geodatabase and put them in a local file geodatabase. I have the first parameter set up as a multivalue where the user can input the feature classes to copy. I would like to give the user the option to save the feature class names to a file for future use. I am able to save the list of layers to a text file. How can I load the feature classes from the text file into the script? Is it as simple as making the parameter.value equal to the saved text?

Thanks for all the feedback. I agree, I don't think what I was trying to do will work. I'll have to just have the list of layers and the target geodatabase to store them in. I'm going to see if I can have an option for the user to save the list of layers and import an existing list so they don't have to select all of the layers each time. Thanks for all of your help! I'm trying to create a Python toolbox that will let the user select an enterprise geodatabase, select layers from that geodatabase, and copy them to a local geodatabase. I would like to have three parameters; the first is the enterprise geodatabase, the second is a multi-value list of the feature classes to be copied, and the third is the target geodatabase. How do I get the second parameter to take the database from the first parameter so the user can only get feature classes from that geodatabase? Thanks, Mark
