Select closest facility based on user's input

Dear all,

I am a new user to the GIS platform and encounter some problems regarding the model builder.

I have created a model builder that can allow user to search for the nearest food court based on their location. My prob is how do i enter the user's input such that the model builder is able to detect the closest facility and generates the correct results.

For example, the user enters his or her own location, and the system will search through the model builder and populater places that are closest to them.

Hi,
you are probably using default input for this model. This must be set as "model parameter" and in its properties as type "feature set". This setting allows you to use it like user defined value.
I use to do it in this way.
