Hi Robert,

Thanks for all your work on these widgets!

I'm looking to implement a tool to allow a user to select a point (pick a location, not a physical 'point' object) on a map and have it return the coordinates from a custom/local coordinate system.  I was planning to do this as GP service, and I was wondering if that service could somehow be 'plugged in' to Inspector component of the Enhanced Locate widget, or if there is another/better/easier way to accomplish this?

Thanks!

Warren,

You can add local coordinate systems to the eLocate and the OTB coordinate widget too.

Thanks Robert.  I must be missing something though because how do add an output CS to the OTB Coordinate widget without a WKID?  I assumed this would need to be done in code somewhere to pass it the PROJCS definition.

Warren,

So your are using a completely custom local projection that does not have a WKID?

Hey Robert,

Yes, it is a custom coordinate system for a local mine grid.  It's based on a NAD27 datum and the Clarke 1866 spheroid with adjusted false eastings and northings, etc...

We have a GP function that allows the user to enter a local coordinate and return the location on the map (web mercator), but I'd like to do the reverse now where the user could pick a point on the map and have the local coordinates returned.  I'm sure I could create another GP tool to do this, but I hoping to use something like the eLocate or Coordinate widgets.

Hello Robert,

It was great experience of using your advanced search widget in our WAB application. Can i use the same in our custom web GIS application? do you have simple CSS, HTML and javascript for this widget that i can use in our Custom application with some amendments?

Thank you!

Are asking to be able to use the eSearch in a regular JS app?

I do not have one currently, but since you are the second person to ask about this in the same week I need to look into doing one.
