Hi, This is actually a known issue with 10.1 SP1: http://support.esri.com/en/bugs/nimbus/role/beta10_1/TklNMDg2MzQ5 It is resolved with 10.2, but there are also some workarounds described in the link above. Hope this helps.

Try adding a question mark to the end of the URL so it looks like this: http://gis.ktimanet.gr/wms/wmsopen/wmsserver.aspx? That works for me in ArcCatalog.

Hi, You probably only have a Basic ArcGIS Server license. You can check this by logging into Server Manager and checking the Authorization tab under Site. With a Basic license, only feature and geodata services can be published. http://www.esri.com/library/brochures/pdfs/arcgis-server-functionality-matrix.pdf Check page 9 of 17. Hope this helps

Hi, I don't believe there is a 10.1/10.2 version of the AGSSOM utility, but there are command line utilities available: http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#//015400000626000000 You can start/stop services and manage caches with the utilities. Hope this helps.

Hi, Do you have the URL to the map service in question? Since the BLM is a federal entity, I wouldn't be surprised if their server has gone offline due to the government shutdown.

Hi, You can use the Convert Map Server Cache Storage Format tool in the Server Tools-->Caching toolbox. I would recommend making a backup of your tiles if possible before converting, as the tool will convert the tiles in place and essentially delete the old version. http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.2/index.html#//005400000012000000 Hope this helps.

Hi, Are you trying to make a table view of your NetCDF raster? If so, you can try using the 'Make NetCDF Table View' tool in the Multidimension toolbox in ArcMap. There are several other NetCDF tools in that toolbox that may also be useful.

Hi, How are you calling the SOAP endpoint of the services? Are you just clicking the SOAP link from the REST endpoint? Are you able to connect to the services from a SOAP client like ArcMap?

Hi, It looks like you are running into the following bug: NIM075556 - REST queries do not honor the ??Where? clause for KMZ response if the map service is created from an MXD The workaround is to publish your services from an MSD rather than an MXD. Hope this helps.

Hi, If you're not seeing any .lock files in the gdb then I don't see how a lock could be preventing editing. Have you tried restarting ArcGIS Server?

Hi, Even though the map services are stopped, there may still be lingering .lock files in the geodatabase. You can open the file geodatabase folder in Windows Explorer and see them. If there are any there, you can manually delete them. Also, you could try disabling schema locking by unchecking the 'Lock Database Schema' checkbox under the 'Parameters' tab for the service in Server Manager. Hope this helps.

Hi, You can check what level of ArcGIS Server license you have by logging into Server Manager, clicking Site-->Software Authorization. At the top you should see the license level. If that says Basic, then yes it makes sense that you can't publish map services. Unfortunately I don't work much with our APIs, so I can't really speak to your second question. I would suggest starting a new thread in our Silverlight API forum for that.

Hi, If you're only seeing feature services, then it's possible that you have an ArcGIS Server Basic license, which only allows you to publish feature, geodata, and geometry services: (Page 9 of 17) http://www.esri.com/software/arcgis/arcgisserver/~/media/Files/Pdfs/library/brochures/pdfs/arcgis-server-functionality-matrix.pdf It seems a bit strange that you would still see a MapServer URL in Server Manager if that's the case though...
