What operating system, Illustrator version, and Maps for Creative Cloud version are you running? Do you have any older versions of Illustrator installed (CS6, CS5, etc)? Thanks, Steve

There have been some reports of difficulty installing the ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud extension, so I'd like to try to clarify a couple of things and offer some potential troubleshooting steps. Typically, the extension should be installed through the Adobe Add-ons site. In the past, Adobe has used a product called Extension Manager to manage the installation/uninstallation of third party extensions for its Creative Cloud platform applications. However, this application has been deprecated and should no longer be used. Installing through the Add-Ons site can sometimes fail though, usually with an unhelpful error. If you've tried the troubleshooting steps here and are still having issues, then you may want to try a third party extension installer. We've had good success using the Anastasiy Extension Manager. To use it, you first need to download the .zxp file for our app. You must be signed in with your Adobe ID to proceed. Click the blue 'Download ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud' button, ignore the other inaccurate steps about using Adobe Extension Manager. Then open Anastasiy's Extension Manager, click File-->Install Extension and browse to the zxp file. Please note that the above steps will only work if you have a Personal Adobe ID. If you have an Enterprise ID, the downloaded .zxp will not install correctly. If you have an Enterprise ID please contact Esri Technical Support for a copy of the .zxp that will work with your account.

Hi John, We write some temporary files to your user profile folder, it looks like you don't have permissions to do that on your machine. Can you check if you have write access to: C:\Users\<youruser>\AppData\Roaming\ C:\Users\<youruser>\Documents\Adobe\

Hi Brian, This isn't anything specific to Maps for Creative Cloud. Any external service or resource that needs to access your services needs to be able to resolve the machine name. If you had tried printing your webmap from the ArcGIS Online map viewer (before you corrected the service URL) you would have seen the same problem. Also, if you had tried to open your old webmap from a machine off your organization's network, you wouldn't have been able to even view your map service. Basically, if you have a fully qualified domain name for a service you should use it. It ensures that everybody on and off your network can access your data.

Hi Brian, The item for the layer (http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=433f02a522ad4c57ac812aa2abbe1ad2 ) is updated with the correct URL, but the webmap (http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=8c26803af6474f4782c2712b475b1fbf ) is still pointing to the internal server name. Can you re-add the layer to your webmap, save and try again?

Hi Brian, It looks like you used an internal server name when you created this layer in ArcGIS Online (maps2.cotgis). Our print service cannot access an internal service on your network, so it fails. Can you recreate the layer using the fully qualified domain name for the service?

Hi Richard, The 1000 feature limit is a web map restriction imposed by ArcGIS Online on any CSV or shapefile, it isn't specific to this extension: FAQ: Is there a feature limit in ArcGIS Online? In order to access web maps in the extension, they need to at least be shared with a group that contains the tag 'M4CC'. The tagging structure is explained here: Configure your ArcGIS Online organization—ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud Help | ArcGIS Any layers in your organization that you have access to should appear under 'My Organization' with no tagging necessary. Are you saying that if you share a layer with 'Everyone' and also with a specific group that it doesn't appear in the extension? There is also a 'Limit to mapboard extent' checkbox which will only show you content that is within the extent of the map, it's checked on by default. Thanks, Steve

Not sure why you're getting redirected like that. You can also just browse to http://support.esri.com, log in, and then search for the bug ID which is NIM086349.

Does the ArcGIS Server account have access to the share as well as the files in the folder? You can check these permissions if you right click the shared folder and go to Properties->Sharing->Advanced Sharing->Permissions. Also, when you try to register the folder are you using the UNC path to that location?
