Scott, Unfortunately, there is no out-of-the box auto-complete polygon in the current version of ArcGIS for Windows Mobile. The GPS streaming method used when collecting polygons may accomplish the same thing, if I understood your question correctly. If not, then I recommend your add your comments to ArcGIS Ideas site > Split (join) sketch by line which has an attached user comment asking for the autocomplete polygon functionality. Patrick, What is the folder hierarchy on SD card? What type of SD card are you using with the HPs iPAQ 211 handheld device? Does it have fastest read/write speeds available? According to specs, the HP iPAQ 211 supports SD/SDIO and CompactFlash HC memory cards. Some items to note about SD cards:     A newer card may offer greater capacity than the host device can handle.     A newer card may use a file system the host device cannot navigate.     Use of an SDIO card requires the host device be designed for the input/output functions the card provides.     The organization of the card was changed starting with the SDHC family.     Some vendors produced SDSC cards above 1 GB before the SDA had standardized a method of doing so. Does altering the Default Maps & Data Path help to resolve this slow behavior? The path can be modified in ArcPad Options > Paths tab. Does turning off unneeded extensions in ArcPad Advanced Settings > Extensions tab improve time to load the data? If not, please contact Esri Support and submit support interaction so you can work with ArcPad specialist to troubleshoot behavior further. According to ArcPad 7.1.1 System Requirements, the supported mobile operating systems are: Windows CE 4.2 Windows CE 5.0 Windows Mobile 2003 Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition Windows Mobile 5.0 Windows Mobile 6.0 According to Microsoft's Windows Embedded Handheld datasheet, applications built for Windows Mobile 6.x and Handheld 6.5 are compatible (consistent SDKs and APIs). Chet, Are you able to check out the Riverside project in ArcPad\Samples folder? The Riverside geodatabase contains relationship classes and Help\Tutorials\Using Related Tables includes instructions of the complete workflow to perform check out project, edit related tables in ArcPad, and project check in back to geodatabase. The tutorial and sample data will help to determine if problem is specific to your data or, if also fails w/Riverside data, possible software configuration issue. This is an iOS app and currently ArcPad is not supported with iOS platform. ArcPad is supported on Windows Mobile, Windows XP, and Windows 7 platforms.
