Here is one way. 1. First, create a copy of the feature class (Feature Class To Feature Class (Conversion)—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation). 2. Select one feature from your original feature class (any corner feature). e.g. MAG-73-9 3. Use Near (Analysis)—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation.  Input Feature: The Copy Feature Class Near Features: The original Feature Class Method: Geodesic 4. New field will be added to "FC_Copy". You maybe hitting a known limitation. "Excel tables are read-only in ArcGIS Pro; however, they can be edited in Excel while you have a worksheet open in the Contents pane (stand-alone table layer). The layer will only display the updated (saved) values for edits made outside of ArcGIS Pro when ArcGIS Pro has been closed and reopened." Could you try working with a CSV file instead? ... Hope you have already raised a case with Esri Support. Under C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Pro\bin\Python\envs\arcgispro-py3\Lib\site-packages\arcgis\mapping , I see a file _basemap_definitions.py I have zipped and attached the file from my folder.
