Hey everybody, I have created a python toolbox (it was created in 10.3.1) which takes your street layer and transforms it into the upcoming NENA NG911 GIS Data Model. Steps are as follows. Download the tool here: Dropbox - NENA_Street_Tool.zip I would suggest you create a new geodatabase and import a copy of your street centerline Open the tool and choose that street layer Match the NENA field with your corresponding field. If you don’t have a corresponding field, click on the NENA field and use the X to remove it. It will still create the NENA field but it will be empty. Once you have matched/deleted all fields, you are able to run it. Limitations: You can’t have a field in your street layer that has the same name as one of the NENA fields. (To remove that limitation I will have to write a lot of if/else statements ) I am looking forward to your feedback! Tim

After some testing with jborgion i realized that an Advanced license is needed for the Dangle tool. I will see if I can figure out how to do it with a lower level license.

Thanks for the feedback!! Looking at it, everything seems to run fine. I am using the export topology errors tool, which seems to create a point/line and polygon feature by default and then adds all of them to the MXD even though some might be empty. To catch some of those further away dangles, will add a combo box in which the use can decide how many feet it should look for.

Rebecca, at the moment it uses the whole street network and it is very memory heavy on street networks 50k+. I am still trying to figure out how I could use the extend instead of the while feature. Tim

Thanks for sharing Heather! In the future I wanted to add a button to check that streets are broken at Jurisdiction boundaries.

This is what I am currently working on. I am still trying to figure out how I can force the user to only choose a folder and not anything else.

No worries Chris, all I need to do is remove the dialog box. Everything else stays the same.
