I built a geometric network that has a ton of connectivity rules. How can I export these rules so that when I drop my geometric network I can import them with having to rebuild the whole thing? thanks, James

I have related tables to a feature layer in ArcGIS Online that have attachments enabled. When I take a photo for the table via ESRI Collector App I can see the photo on the app but it doesn't appear anywhere at ArcGIS Online. If I take a photo for the feature itself it will show up in the pop up at ArcGIS Online How do we view the photos taken for the related tables via Collector in ArcGIS online? Thank you! James

Hello, I am currently running ArcGIS Server 10.4 and Portal 10.4. The ArcGIS Sever is federated and listed as a hosted server. I have created a web app via the Portal Web App builder and I have made it available to the public(internal). The layer that I have added to this map is a layer of county tax lots. I would like anyone that is viewing the map to be able to draw an area and extract the data from that area. Also I would like users to be able to print a map if they would like. I was able to make the print feature available to the public by going to Server Manager and sharing the print tool to the public and then adding the rest services link to Portal's Utility Services list. I tried to do that with the Spatial Analysis tools as well, sharing at ArcGIS Manager was successful, but two things are happening: 1.) There is not an option in Portal's Utility Services to add the Rest URL. 2.) The viewers are still being prompted to log in to Portal when selecting the Analysis widget from the web app. Is it possible to share the Analysis tools to the public in this web app? Thank you, James Hickey

you get your authorization code for Portal from my.esri.com. you can log in and then look through your organization pages. If you have ArcGIS for Server 10.3 Standard or Advanced you can get 5 free users for Portal and you will be able to get your authorization code there.

Where would the best place be to install Portal for ArcGIS? On a web server machine such as IIS on Windows server? On the ArcGIS for Server Machine itself? On it's own machine? I want to use this product but setup is looking a little involving. Thanks, James

Hi Darryl. This works now. See posts below for explanation. There is also a link provided by Jorge Orellana that pointed me in the right direction. Good luck! James

Gold!!! thank you for finding and posting that! This was the remedy! And here was my post back to that forum. Fantastic!!! I have been working on this since Monday! Our set up is: A GeoXT 6000 running Windows Mobile 6.1, ArcPAD 10.2 for Mobile, Trimble Positions Add-in for ArcPAD 10.2. On PC: Windows 7 64bit SP1, ArcGIS Desktop 10.2, ArcPAD 10.2 for Desktop, Trimble Positions Add-in for Desktop 10.2. I was receiving the same SQL error: In order to remedy this solution I had to remove the QuickField Applets from the GeoXT 6000's program files. Located at DeviceStorage/Program Files/Arc Pad/Applets I created a sub directory called quickFieldBackup and moved all of the Files that started with QuickField into this. Everything works great after that! Thank you a ton! James Hickey

HI Darryl, I am pretty much 99.2% certain that I had this working up until about 4 weeks ago. I am running Arc Desktop 10.2.1, ArcPAD 10.2 and Trimble Positions Arc-pad add-in for Windows Mobile 10.2. I am exporting layers from Arc Desktop via the Trimble Positions for Desktop Add-in. I am not sure what happened but one day i just started receiving this error on every thing that I exported to ArcPAD that was tied to a SQL database connection (SDE?) Anyway if you are certain that Trimble Positions Desktop Add-IN won't export to ArcPAD correctly when using an sql database, please let me know again. But like i said, I am pretty sure I had this going once and I don't know what changed. Thanks! James Hickey

I am having trouble when using and SDE geo database. After export, when i open the map on a GEO XT 6000 windows mobile 6.1 in ArcPAD I receive the attached error message. If I use a file geodatabase locally then I don't receive the error. I need to use SDE geodatabase in SQL. Any ideas? Thanks.

Okay, I am a bit behind the times here. I just built a web app using ArcGIS Viewer for Flex and had it working just like I wanted, got it added to my IIS server and wouldn't you know it... There is no flash support on Android any more which happens to be the tablets that we use! So now I guess I need to move on to this here API for JavaScript... sigh... Any one know of any good STARTING points for this? I know only a tiny bit about JavaScript so we need to start small here. I have looked at the sandbox a bit but i don't know how to add my own layers to maps, or if i can add layers from my ArcGIS server to these maps... Thanks for your help. James
