@MichelleWilliamsERM, why not implement this as a constraint? In the constraint column: regex(., '[A-Za-z0-9._%+-]+@[A-Za-z0-9.-]+.[A-Za-z]{2,4}') In the constraint_message column: Type correct email

@GISCoffee, did you have a chance to try the Tabulate Area tool? If you need some additional background on the utility and value of this tool for your accuracy assessment scenario, I can recommend R. Pontius' research on using cross-tabulation matrices to compare raster-based land classifications (of the same area and extent) for two (or more) different time periods or classification models. A generalized cross-tabulation matrix to compare soft-classified maps at multiple resolutions Death to Kappa: birth of quantity disagreement and allocation disagreement for accuracy assessment

@GISCoffee, sounds like you want to perform a crosstabulation with the two rasters. I recommend the Tabulate Area tool. This post might also be helpful.

What are your best practices or naming conventions for the choices sheet? Do you use CamelCase or underscores in the list_name and name columns? How do you treat hyphens differently in the name column (equivalent to a domain code) versus the label column (equivalent to a domain description)? Do you always use integers or acronyms/abbreviations in the name column (and if you do, why?) or is your name column entry simply an underscored or CamelCase version of what you put in the label column for that entry? What do you do in the name column to represent a label entry that combines text and numeric attribute or value range in parenthesis? Do you simply pick one (either the number or the text component) for the name entry and use the entire string in the label entry?

@Bud, it looks like this is possible with the Continue Feature tool (found under the Modify Features pane). "The Continue Feature tool resumes editing a finished feature in sketch mode. Sketching a separate feature adds it as a component part to the existing feature."

@CarsonG, I'm not aware of a way to do this in a dynamic sort of way that names the photo before or just as it is attached to the feature. What I've usually done for this is concatenate several fields together (like a FieldUserName field plus a FeatureName field) to make an alternative photo name (i.e., "Joe_Wetland1.jpg," or "Sally_Wetland2.jpg") and then use the attachment export and rename process to execute the renaming. Hope this helps a bit.

@mcbeth99, yep!—There is an easier way! You can import them from Excel. Try running either Table to Geodatabase (multiple) or Table to Table to get your Excel columns into GIS (beware of special characters in the field headings—you may have to format the columns a bit before importing). You may even be able to join the columns directly to the shpefile from the .xls or .xlsx spreadsheet using the Join Field tool without having to import them first (though sometimes this doesn't work if the workstation has an outdated Microsoft Access Database Engine). Hope this helps!

@DougBrowning, I've run into this a bunch of times publishing through Survey123 Connect. Using a square (or any odd-sized) image for the Survey123 icon renders it stretched or distorted once it's published and viewed through ArcGIS Online or through folks' phones/tablets. I did a little testing and found that you need the image to have an aspect ratio of 1.5:1 for the Width:Length to not have the Survey123 Form thumbnail get stretched or distorted. If my source image isn't in that aspect ratio, I use the Change canvas size... found under the Image menu (or a Shift+V) in the freeware IrfanView to add pixels to either the image width or height to get it into aspect ratio 1.5:1. Then the Survey123 form thumbnail doesn't get distorted when it goes from Survey123 Connect to AGOL and on to phones/tablets.

@ap5, parcel linework and property polygons (like what's shown in your attached graphic) are useful for general mapping, but often for not much more than schematic representation of property ownership. You may end up needing to have the site looked at by a professional surveyor in order to have the property lines and vertices field-verified, especially if any site work or construction is planned.

@mcbeth99, if there's a common field between the attributes spreadsheet and the shapefile that would facilitate a link to pull in all of your populated fields and attach them to the features in the shapefile, you could use the Join Field tool (found under ArcToolbox --> Data Management --> Joins --> Join Field). If your workspace is a geodatabase, you could also use the Table to Geodatabase (multiple) tool (found in ArcToolbox --> Conversion Tools --> To Geodatabase) to bring in a bunch of tables at a time for joining (again, if there's a unique-ID field common between the features and attributes) to your shapefile or feature class.

Hi @DavidTilley, have you tried the USGS National Hydrography Dataset (NHD)? If not, I recommend checking the NHD geodatabases distributed by state (.zip)—These feature classes for NHD Lines and NHD Flowlines will often have proper name attribution for named streams and water bodies, though not every single feature may have complete attribution.

@DEAF_PROBERT_68, I haven't tried a tool that does it yet, so short answer is no. However, I still have yet to try the one a colleague recommended (https://mygeodata.cloud/converter/geopdf-to-shp) which suggests it goes straight from PDF to shapefile. I think it's rare that a PDF would retain the spatial reference information of vector linework upon a print/export, so I've often still had to use the spatial adjustment tool and known benchmarks to georeference the linework I extract from the PDF. Also, I omitted this in my last response, but I'm aware that Adobe Illustrator can pull linework out of a PDF and export as either .dwg (maybe even .kmz too—it's been a while). Hope this helps.

@DEAF_PROBERT_68, while these are outside of the Esri suite, in the past I've had luck with either CADSoftTools (https://cadsofttools.com/pdf-to-dwg-online/) or easyPDF (https://easypdf.com/pdf-to-autocad) to go from PDF to .dwg and I then use the Spatial Adjustment tools in ArcMap to extract the geometry I want for output to either .shp or a feature class. It's worth noting that some PDFs retain the actual vector linework of a CAD drawing (.dwg) depending on how the PDF was generated. If this is the case, the vector linework is it's own layer in the PDF and one of the above tools should work great. However, if creation of the PDF involved a scan of a paper plan (like if the CAD .dwg was first printed out and later run through a scanner), then it very likely is rendered just as a raster in the PDF, making extraction of vector linework more difficult without a little intermediate raster feature extraction/classification as part of the process. If it's the latter, you may just end up have better luck digitizing the lines you need. One more thing—a colleague recently recommended this tool: https://mygeodata.cloud/converter/geopdf-to-shp I haven't given it a whirl yet, so can't confirm it's effectiveness, but I plan to try it next time in lieu of my old process which used CADSoftTools or easyPDF.
