By default the Basemap Gallery will use the basemap group of your organization. This can be changed in the organization "Settings->Maps->Basemap Gallery" where you can opt in to use the Esri vector basemaps. Using the API you can use any other group of webmaps by setting the source of the BasemapGallery widget. https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/latest/api-reference/esri-widgets-BasemapGallery.html#source Check out this Codepen sample. For best experience, make sure all the basemap have the same spatialreference.

Beth Manghi‌ - that error message sounds like you're using an older 4.x version, before 4.2. If you upgrade to a newer 4.x version you shouldn't see that sort of problem. Release notes for 4.2 | ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.7 For the second part about the samples, did you try with the latest (4.7) samples like https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/latest/sample-code/layers-vectortilelayer/live/index.html ?

No, there isn't currently a way to reinitialize the viewpoint when the view changes. However, it's something we would like to support in the future.

Michael Lodes‌ No there hasn't been any changes in the resource proxy to support this. The preferred way is to use a custom print service. I'll respond on your github issue as well with some more details..

Tom Sellsted , testing your route service in the basic API sample, the console error message is Directions.js:10 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'name' of null at Object.b._renderTravelModeOptions (VM223 Directions.js:10) at Object.b._renderReadyContent (VM223 Directions.js:9) at Object.b._renderPanelContent (VM223 Directions.js:9) at Object.b.render (VM223 Directions.js:8) at q (dojo.js:2073) If you look at the network traffic, you'll see there's a request for TravelModes that doesn't return any Travel Modes: https://gis.yakimawa.gov/arcgis101/rest/services/Streets/StreetsNetwork/NAServer/Route/retrieveTravelModes?f=json The widget should (a) handle this better, but (b) in the meantime you might look to something like http://desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/10.5/extensions/network-analyst/travel-modes-steps.htm

Juan Manuel Angel Cuartas‌ - what versions of API are you using? And what version of the print server? We made some fixes for this, but it requires (a) a Pro-based print service 10.6 or later (b) JSAPI 4.5 (December) or later, or JSAPI 3.24 (April) With the ArcGIS Online release week, you can test on www.arcgis.com.

Currently, support is limited to layers created from feature services hosted on ArcGIS Online. Non-hosted enterprise feature services will be supported at the ArcGIS Server 10.6.1 release. See the "known limitations" at the bottom of the https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/latest/api-reference/esri-layers-FeatureLayer.html#webgl-rendering section.

This is a bug in 4.6. The problem is that, for version 4.6, the insertPoint doesn't work when adding a point at the end of the ring. We plan to fix this for version 4.7. Thank you for reporting.
