Here are the entries in ArcGIS Online that have 'story map' in their metadata sorted by the number of views, most views first: http://www.arcgis.com/home/search.html?q=Story%20map&t=content&focus=applications-web&sortField=numviews&sortOrder=desc (ArcGIS Online search results max out at 10,000 results, so this doesn't list all the entries, just the first 10,000). Like Greg says, the number of views is good for entries that represent hosted apps, but for entries that point at apps deployed on a separate server, the number of views for that entry is just the number of times the entry itself has been viewed. But in those cases you could look at the number of views on the web map(s) used in your self-deployed story map to get a hit count.

The Shortlist will display your images if they are on the web somewhere and referenced from your layers via a full URL that ends in the name of the image file, like this: http://downloads.esri.com/blogs/places/sandiego/ciros_pizzeria_downtown.png Can you post the URL to one of your images that you are referencing in your Shortlist so we can see how you are referencing it. Your web map is no longer public or has been deleted so the Shortlist URL you posted doesn't launch.

Hi Amy, We need to know which story map application you are used to make your story map. There are several of them: Apps | Story Maps Also assuming your story map is shared publicly and not only accessible inside your organization, could you post a link to it here so we can try it.

Here's a URL containing all of the supported parameters that you can use when you invoke the hosted Shortlist instance. http://storymaps.esri.com/templates/shortlist/?webmap=8504932f183c4b8699dc6ba28235e398&DETAILS_PANEL=true&GEOLOCATOR=true&COLOR_ORDER=green,red,blue,purple&BOOKMARKS_ALIAS=ZOOM&POINT_LAYERS_NOT_TO_BE_SHOWN_AS_TABS=Light%20rail%20stations&SUPPORTING_LAYERS_THAT_ARE_CLICKABLE=Light%20rail%20stations|Light%20rail|Neighborhoods|Parks You could actually deploy a Shortlist using this instance without downloading the code yourself, but it doesn't support changing the logo or any other customizations, so it isn't recommended for actual deployments.

Hi, in that particular template (the Shortlist) used in that example you give, you could add a polygon layer into the web map as a supporting clickable layer that is drawn underneath the points. So a point could represent the polygon. But the tabs would still only show you the points in the current extent, not the polygons. You can similarly add a polygon layer into web maps used in story maps that display points so there is one polygon per point.

In the web map or web maps you are displaying in the Story Map, just change the basemap directly in ArcGIS Online, assuming you are the owner of the map. The Story Map app code doesn't control which basemap the map(s) are using. The Story Map app just displays the map(s) using whatever basemap the map author gave it in ArcGIS Online. So go here in ArcGIS Online and either make a new web map or load in an existing one: http://www.arcgis.com/home/webmap/viewer.html You can then change the basemap there,

I've not seen that done before. You could code it of course cos we provide all the source code. I would actually not recommend it though from a UI point of view.
