Is there an update that can be made for Layer List widget to listen to changes of the other widgets? If so, where would I be making the change?

One thing that I have noticed is that if layers are loaded at the map service level, the sublayer settings set in the widget don't display properly in the layer list widget. For example, setting the visible layers property to "1,2,3", but only the default layers turned on display in the layer list widget, which don't match your settings from the add layer widget. However, the layers that you do set within the widget are displayed in the map, but the layer list widget doesn't match. If I remember, this was also an issue with the Local Layer widget when it was first released. Any thoughts?

I'm trying to test this out with my app and it doesn't appear to work with the Local Layer Widget. Am I missing something that would keep this from switching the webmap like it was designed to? The issue I'm having is the endless "trying to load" map loading icons. Any thoughts?

I'm working on revising the webmap switcher widget that I've created to allow individuals to get into their own data stored under their own organization within ArcGIS Online. Has anyone figured out how to access data via a widget from a separate portal? I've added in the dom element into the widget to allow users to type in their own portal, but there seems to be something preventing the sign-in on the client side to access their content within the widget. Any thoughts?

I also noticed the same is true for any KMLs loaded into the webmap. Thanks.

It also might be something to do with one of the layers I have loaded in my webmap I'm using. Here is the layer: http://geo.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=3f81b22eb8b44929a3b93b009fb318db Edit: It appears that it is related to any wms layers loaded into the webmap - all will show with the error on the console above. Is there a way that this can be corrected in the widget code to ignore these?

Robert, I'm not seeing any results when using the live site. Is there a way to have this tool just identify all visible layers without having to pre-load them into the widget's identify layers section?

Adam, I'm working on the latest update and I'm having issues trying to load a GeoJSON into the config through the GUI and I keep getting the red exclamation mark next to the URL. I tried manually typing into the config file and I'm still not getting it. Do you have an example of a GeoJSON config that is working?

If you have the data in a deferred list and want to display it as items within the widget itself, I'd suggest creating a dom ID element in the widget.html file as Robert indicated above. Then you could have the inidvidual items from the list within the widget.js file like the example I have below (from a tool I'm building), where I'm assigning a string value to a variable that then calls and sets the dom element: idstring = "Results: <br/>" + "<br />Number of Hospitals: " + Hosp.length + "<br />Number of Medical Providers: " + Med.length + "<br />Number of Schools: " + schools.length; dom.byId("results").innerHTML = idstring; Basically, the widget.html file indicates what is shown on the screen and the widget.js is the underlying code for tasks that are performed by the widget. Items within the html file are referred to as dom elements and can be referenced as shown in Robert's and my examples. I'd suggest looking up this for more details: Dojo Toolkit Reference Guide — The Dojo Toolkit - Reference Guide
