Thanks Morten. I really don't want to have to implement a custom location provider and the NMEA parser library if I don't have to, but at least that's an option. If anyone does come across an external Bluetooth or USB GPS device that will just work automatically with the built in location provider please share it. I have done some research on the web and haven't been able to find anything except for a lot of people complaining that they can't get any external GPS to work with Win Store Apps on Surface, only desktop apps on Pro. Is there anyway to check what the spatial reference is on an ArcGIS runtime geodatabase? These cannot be reopened in ArcMap correct? We have clients creating these and they are not showing up when combined with their own TPKs, so I suspect they are in different spatial references, but they claim they are the same SR as the TPKs. The gdb's show fine on their own, so they are not clipped like suggested in another thread. Thanks Simon

FBetFromFROa3 known issues From ESRI Beta page of WAB (developer edition) Beta3 known issues: Query widget: does not allow to present a drop-down of unique values when the user is specifying parameters Query widget: query text field is case sensitive Query widget: requires default value Chart widget: pie chart does not support different colors Arabic and Hebrew localization is not supported. Nat is correct, this needs to be saved in the web map. I'm sure it can be done via code as well, but easier via the web map.

If you built a custom widget using the Beta what is everyone doing with them when moving to Release? Are you just keeping the Beta one and moving it over? Or re-creating from scratch and copying code over? When comparing the beta and release sample demo widgets the structure seems to be the same, so it doesn't look like anything major has changed. Do you think its safe to just copy over an d see if it works? Thanks Simon

In the Query Widget when creating a filter expression, why is it that a value is required even when "Ask for values" is checked. I want to setup a search but have the user enter the value, not provide a default value at all. I thought this was a bug / known issue in beta, but it still seems to be the same in final release 1.0.

I've heard WAB (Developer Edition) is scheduled to be released on this Wed. Dec. 17th. I'm guessing there should be an announcement via the WAB (Developer Edition) Beta group as they said in their last email.

Does anyone know if it's possible to alter height/width of the side locked widgets launched from the header? Setting these properties doesn't seem to work for those ones.

Looks like that is the issue the position and height/width only seem to be valid for in-panel widgets. Thanks Robert

We have always referenced the Extension SDK. I did ask him to remove the reference anyway and try re-adding it, but it did not help, same error. Could VS Update 4 have changed something in the way the references get loaded? We still think its something to do with Update 4 as we have 3 machines on Update 3 that work fine and 2 machines on Update 4 that show this error. Has the SDK team gone to Update 4 yet and tested?
