Hi, Can anyone tell me is there a way to use IDW with a clipped geometry. I have 10 polygons with points inside them. I only want the interpolation to run within the polygons as they are not related to each other. I tried the input barrier polyline option by converting the polygons to polylines but this didn't work and still interpolated outside the polylines. Any help much appreciated. Regards Rachel

FYI: the date query syntax is dependent on the underlying data source, for example SQL Server requires in one way while FileGBD does it another way. Hi, My date syntax is for the sql server which is what my data is, surely when using query builder it builds it according to the underlying data source. I still can't see why it won't publish it when it's in the correct syntax for sql server!

HI, I'm having the same issue with SQL Server 2008. Can you tell me how I go about making a connection in the UNC path folder on the ArcGIS Server? Thanks Rachel Update: I've discovered what my issue was here. I had to give ArcGIS Server permissions in the SQL database as per the link here. http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#//01540000039r000000 Hope this helps someone.

Hi, I am having this same error Error 001272:Analyzer errors were encountered (codes = 7,7,7,7,7,7) thats the 6 layers I have. I've worked out it's a problem with the definition query on each of them, because when I remove it there is no error but my definition query is essential. It was built using the Query builder so not sure why there is a problem. The query is a date (to show only records of 2012) and text query it's: Date_Tested >= '2012-01-01 00:00:00' AND Colour = 'Blue' On a closer look it's the date part of the query it has a problem with, but how else can I write a query for a Date field? Many thanks Rachel

Stephanie, Did you mange to get this resolved, as I am having the same problem. Mines seems to only have started when I set the MapSwitcher <layerlist visible="false"/> then the maps disappear and I get an error "Could not connect to portal". Both buttons More and Basemaps disappear on the viewer but I was just hoping to get rid of the More button so I could use a Layer list. When I change it back to "True" the maps reappear although I still have the error "Could not connect to Portal". The "More" button reappears but the Basemaps button does not. The viewer was working fine before I did this. I even tried creating a new viewer (using Flexviewer 3) but the same issue occurs. any ideas I'd be grateful. Rachel

Hi Juan, I'm using ArcGIS 10 if you open a blank Arcmap and and go File > Open, Under the Files of Type: at the bottom click the arrow and it gives you the option to change it to .pmf. It opens the entire project as it is in ArcReader which you can then save as mxd. You still can't drag and drop files though from ArcReader to ArcMap. Enjoy Rachel

Just as an update to anyone viewing this thread. I've discovered it is possible to just open ArcMap and add the pmf which can then be saved as an mxd. Rachel

Hi, I'm hoping someone will get back to me about my post above. If only using the compiled version is there any way to make the text boxes smaller on the Editor attribute box? Many thanks Rachel
