Is there any update to supporting related tables in Operation dashboard? I want to be able to create a bar chart of total (text) features in the related 1-M table. Also, I'd like users to be able to view the feature of the related table somehow. Is it going to happen anytime soon?

Currently I cannot create widgets using a data from a related table. Please support related tables as I'm sure many organisations use relational databases for managing data. Rachel

Along with reordering we should be able to change the field properties e.g. from numeric to string, without the rigmarole of creating a new field different name , populatingthe field, deleting the old field, then creating a new field of the old name and repopulating. Just allow the structure to be changed.

I second this, I don't have numeric values, I need a count of unique features in the chart widget. Very disappointing I now have to abandon Operations Dashboard and go back to desktop for this.

I have hundreds of text values categorised e.g. Car, Boat, Lorry, Motorbike etc. I want users to be able to see a sum of these e.g. 65 cars, 98 Boats, 34 lorries, 150 motorbikes. But the value field in the Summary widget only allows numeric values. It is the same for barchart, histogram, pie chart, they all require numeric values. Is there any way to summarise text values? Hi, Has anyone found a solution to this? I am receiving the same error when I try to sign into ArcMap 10.1 on my server. I can log in fine to ArcMap 10.2.2. Rachel

Anthony, You are correct! I just tried it and yes when I click into it, the full text is visible, however when I click away from it again it disappears. With hundreds of addresses all I need to work out now is how to make all the text visible. I've tried copying and pasting but doesn't help. When I click into the field there are no gaps between the lines so there's nothing to delete. Thanks for your help Anthony, at least the data is in there, it's just making it visible! Rachel

Viewing the data in a pop up or in arcmap should allow you to see all the data. So Anthony do you think there is no way to have a multi line text box in flex to show all the text, since it will not be saved in ArcMap? Having only one line is too short for users to see the text. This is what is in Flex: [ATTACH=CONFIG]24356[/ATTACH] And this is what is showing in ArcMAp: [ATTACH=CONFIG]24357[/ATTACH] It's quite a serious bug. Rachel

Hi Anthony, I've increased the multiline threshold, but this leaves me with the user only able to see the first line of the address as below: [ATTACH=CONFIG]24325[/ATTACH] I still need the box, so that all the text is visible but ArcGIS recording all the data that's in the box. Rachel

Hi, I have an address text box as part of my Edit Widget in Flex 3.1, so that staff can add addresses. I've discovered when they add it as below: [ATTACH=CONFIG]24286[/ATTACH] where they hit return after each line. IN ArcGIS 10.1 feature dataset it only saves the first line (Address Line 1) although in Flex the full address appears. Does anyone know how to fix this or a way around it. I need it to be the full 254 characters as addresses may be long, less than 50 so it's only a line isn't long enough. I can't shorten the text box as I'm using the compiled version. If users don't hit Return then it's not an issue, but try telling that that to users entering an address, no hope! Has this been fixed in the latest version, I'd consider upgrading if it has. Rachel

Hi Jose, I'm using the compiled version of flex, so yes my options are limited, I've logged it with ESRI and he's sent it of to Redlands so we'll see what they come back with. In the mean time I've worked around it, by created another date field as a string, this means in flex the user has to type the date in rather than using the calender, but it means the correct date is stored and will print out correctly in my forms. Then every so often I can update the actual date field using field calculator and it registers it as a proper date so I can use this field for querying, sorting etc. It's a pain I have to do it this way but until ESRI decide to fix the bug, it's my only option.
