Anthony, You are correct! I just tried it and yes when I click into it, the full text is visible, however when I click away from it again it disappears. With hundreds of addresses all I need to work out now is how to make all the text visible. I've tried copying and pasting but doesn't help. Viewing the data in a pop up or in arcmap should allow you to see all the data. So Anthony do you think there is no way to have a multi line text box in flex to show all the text, since it will not be saved in ArcMap? Having only one line is too short for users to see the text. Hi Anthony, I've increased the multiline threshold, but this leaves me with the user only able to see the first line of the address as below: [ATTACH=CONFIG]24325[/ATTACH] I still need the box, so that all the text is visible but ArcGIS recording all the data that's in the box. Hi Jose, I'm using the compiled version of flex, so yes my options are limited, I've logged it with ESRI and he's sent it of to Redlands so we'll see what they come back with. In the mean time I've worked around it, by created another date field as a string, this means in flex the user has to type the date in rather than using the calender, but it means the correct date is stored and will print out correctly in my forms. Then every so often I can update the actual date field using field calculator and it registers it as a proper date so I can use this field for querying, sorting etc. It's a pain I have to do it this way but until ESRI decide to fix the bug, it's my only option. Jose, Thanks for getting back to me, I am using the latest version of ArcGIS 10.1 service pack 1. And unfortunately don't have the API, only flexviewer I can't believe this thread is 3 years old and ESRI haven't fixed this bug! Do you know of anyway around it in ArcMap like is it possible to create a field that is set to Date +1 day? I know I can run a calculation on the data but I need it to updateautomatically as soon as the data is entered as staff print forms from the data straight away. There seems to be very little about this problem in the forums, does it not affect many people? It seems a fundamental problem of ESRI recording incorrect dates, I'm surprised nothing has been done about it. Rachel ... View more

Does anyone know has this bug been resolved, as 3 years on I am now having the same problem using the Edit Widget in Flex 3.1 whereby the date is added but is stored in the feature dataset as the previous day. Surely it has been fixed by now? ... View more

HI, I'd be really grateful if someone could help me with my query above and now I have a new problem with the line graph. I have a line graph in a pop up showing results over years. The problem is sometimes a year may not have a result I was hoping this would show as a break in the graph since there is no results that year but the graph gives it a value of 0, this I don't want to happen as 0 represents a very poor result for that year when this is not the case. Thanks for your replies, I just installed Fiddler on my server and tried to connect to the service in ArcCatalog, when I look back at Fiddler I don't see any error messages in stats. The token is set for a years use. I wonder before I connect to the web service in ArcCatalog should I do something with the token first? In Flex Builder I added it to my config xml along with the token path and when I open the viewer it brings up the Sign In window but when I add credentials it gives error 2032 which Adobe says it occurs when the url or file is blocked or not found by HTTPService call and to check it in an url. I have done this and it works fine. I see other agencies are using the same service on public viewers that I'm trying to access so there must be some way around it. I Use the Services on another non secure external server and I have no problem connecting to it and using it in Flex, I then use WMS from the same agency I'm trying to connect to the secure services, the WMS connected fine, it must have something to do with the fact that it's a secure service.
