Jonathan, Did you find a solution or work around to this as I am having the same problems. I'm using the latest version of ArcGIS and only have the Flex viewer rater than API. Rachel

Jose, Thanks for getting back to me, I am using the latest version of ArcGIS 10.1 service pack 1. And unfortunately don't have the API, only flexviewer I can't believe this thread is 3 years old and ESRI haven't fixed this bug! Do you know of anyway around it in ArcMap like is it possible to create a field that is set to Date +1 day? I know I can run a calculation on the data but I need it to updateautomatically as soon as the data is entered as staff print forms from the data straight away. There seems to be very little about this problem in the forums, does it not affect many people? It seems a fundamental problem of ESRI recording incorrect dates, I'm surprised nothing has been done about it. Rachel

Does anyone know has this bug been resolved, as 3 years on I am now having the same problem using the Edit Widget in Flex 3.1 whereby the date is added but is stored in the feature dataset as the previous day. Surely it has been fixed by now?

Hi, I had great hopes for the print quality improving in Flex 3 and ArcGIS 10.1, using the application builder I've gone into the Print Widget, ticked Print with ArcGIS Server and added the rest service of Export Web Map Task to the Task URL and hit load. This I thought would be enough but when I check the quality of the print compared to the same print without using the print with ArcGIS Server it's no better, in fact I can't see any real difference. Am I missing something here is there something else I have to change to get it to use ArcGIS Server when printing? Thanks Rachel

Hi, I've found the problem to my issues, it's because my server wasn't public, I hadn't realised the IP needs to be open for the map service. You learn something new everyday! Rachel

HI, I'd be really grateful if someone could help me with my query above and now I have a new problem with the line graph. I have a line graph in a pop up showing results over years. The problem is sometimes a year may not have a result I was hoping this would show as a break in the graph since there is no results that year but the graph gives it a value of 0, this I don't want to happen as 0 represents a very poor result for that year when this is not the case. Does anyone know how I can get around this. Any help much appreciated. Rachel

Thanks for your replies, I just installed Fiddler on my server and tried to connect to the service in ArcCatalog, when I look back at Fiddler I don't see any error messages in stats. The token is set for a years use. I wonder before I connect to the web service in ArcCatalog should I do something with the token first? In Flex Builder I added it to my config xml along with the token path and when I open the viewer it brings up the Sign In window but when I add credentials it gives error 2032 which Adobe says it occurs when the url or file is blocked or not found by HTTPService call and to check it in an url. I have done this and it works fine. I see other agencies are using the same service on public viewers that I'm trying to access so there must be some way around it. I Use the Services on another non secure external server and I have no problem connecting to it and using it in Flex, I then use WMS from the same agency I'm trying to connect to the secure services, the WMS connected fine, it must have something to do with the fact that it's a secure service. Oth how do I reconfigured the web adaptator using a shared key? Rachel

Hi, I was wondering is it possible to add axis labels to a line chart in the pop ups for flex. I want to add the years across the bottom because without using the mouse to hover over each figure in the graph users won't know what it means. I can foresee users complaining that the chart means nothing to them by just looking at it without labels. Is this possible to do? Many thanks Rachel

HI JMK, No it's not public it requires a secure token for my server, I'm starting to think maybe Flex has issues with tokens? I've now added the path and token straight into the config of my flexviewer and when I load the viewer it brings up the Sign in with Username and Password of the map service I'm trying to access. However when I type in the credentials it gives an error #2032. I googled this and Adobe says the 'error appears to occur when the url or file is blocked or not found by HTTPService call'. I'm using AGS 10.1 and Flex 3, I've logged a call to ESRI and they seem slightly baffled by it also. Rachel

Hi, I was wondering is it possible to add a graph of figures over time into the Identify widget? Is this possible and how would I go about it? I have field headings 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009 and 2008 each would have a figure and I want to produce a graph as part of the Identify results. I've been able to configure the Identify widget to use in my webviewer and was hoping to use this rather than the pop-ups. However if I cannot add graphs I may be forced to go down the pop-ups route. Hi, Is it normal for when Publishing a Map Service, the 'Creating Service Definition' part takes over a day in 10.1. The folder size says 50mb but it's still running for 24hrs and the size hasn't changed. I published the same mxd in 10 and it used to take a few minutes. I do have quite a few layers in there but why such a big difference between the 2 versions. Or has mine just got 'stuck' and I should cancel it and start again? Rachel

Domenico, I have adminstravtive access to my own GIS Server, but I'm trying to use the services from an external GIS server, it keeps giving me the error that permission is forbidden, although if I type the same path into a url I do have access it's only when I connect to it in ArcCatlog. Rachel
