Disclaimer, I am really new to ArcGIS Pro. I am attempting to edit a new feature class created in a file geodatabase. What is vexing me is I draw a polygon or I cut one, and the edits are not instantaneously seen like in ArcMap. I have to hit save and then pan or zoom to get the edit to show up. Notice there are 12 features selected after I cut the six polygons. There are only the original 6 polygons "selected" on screen. I should not have to save the edits to see them. It should work like ArcMap where you cut something or create something and you see it right way. So what am I doing wrong? I am using 2.4.2 for Pro

Well made a clumsy model in model builder that does what I want it to do. So in theory this can be done. Now to search for a making it more elegant.

The scenario is field crews want to track their maintenance history on a tree. They currently use Collector, and would double check things through a web app builder web map. Example: they sprayed a tree three times, and treated it for a disease once, there would be four records in the related table. They would also like to see the last time and what they did on the feature as a quick look. Example: the treatment for the disease was the last maintenance they did it would show that at the feature level. I know attribute assistant will do that, but if there was an automated way to do that is ideal. I would like to either script it out and schedule a task, or push it out as a geoprocessing service and use it in web app builder. Last resort would be using GeoEvent. The data is stored in an SDE database and run through our servers. Does any one have any experience doing this, and would be willing to help/share with me? Can it be done?

I am trying to automate my administrative processes with Python for my enterprise geodatebase. I basically took the script at the end found here: Use Python scripting to batch reconcile and post versions—ArcGIS Help | ArcGIS Desktop and trimmed out the parts I do not need. I cannot for the life of me figure out why it bombs when run via a scheduled task. Using 10.6.1, sde is the admin level, gis user is the owner of the data. import arcpy

The functionality of adding additional photos to an existing survey via the inbox is a must. That would allow the same inspection form to be a continuation of the initial survey. Example: I go out and survey a bad sidewalk. I give the home owner 3 months to fix it. I reopen the same survey with additional questions and take additional pictures to complement the first set from three months prior as evidence. Attachments are nice because they are straight forward for my non-gis staff to understand. Related records are not so easy. Plus, would a related record even work with the new beta functionality of report building?

James, I think I figured out what I wanted to do. I am trying to bludgeon a combination of Workforce and Survey123 to get the best of both worlds because my users want one environment/ one app to work in. I want the photos based on a survey123 form prompting them to take them at the time of the inspection form being filed out (survey123), while leveraging the useful parts of workforce (i.e. easy to use dispatching and work notifications). So in short I am trying to push notifications to Workforce via Survey123 and push from Workforce to a specific Survey123 form, and if there is already a specific Survey123 form for an open event use that survey. Let's just say the two are not as integrated as they should/could be.

Hi James, I am referencing your comment a few above. "You can create a survey against a feature service built for other applications. The main limitation is that Survey123 does not automatically add image questions when reading the feature service, you would need to do add them manually; additionally, you will only be able to add one image per question (you can have multiple image questions to capture multiple images)." I think this response is along the same vain as the conundrum I am trying to solve with Workforce and Survey123 integration. Is it possible to push multiple photos to the attachments of a Workforce feature service from Survey123? I ask because the field names need to be different in Survey123 unless you are using a Repeat which pushes the photos to a related record table, not attachments table. I am looking at workflow that doesn't require jumping between "apps" to take pictures.

Craig, What I am looking to do is pass dates to a survey123 project. Since, Workforce has limited capabilities on the initial creating of a work order and is really basic without a lot of back end work-a-rounds, I would like to move the whole thing out to a Survey123 form, which will then serve as all the information in one spot for a record without a lot of hassle. Really, all I need is a the creation date to pass through. Is that possible?

Figured one way out: if(${stdirection_so}= "None", '', ' ' + ${stdirection_so}) in the field that returns the direction followed by concat(${houseno_txt}+ ${stdirectionnospace_txt} + ' ' + ${street_txt} + ' ' + ${streettype_txt}) in the field that generates the results.

Is it possible to use the trim function or some other method to remove unwanted spaces due to a concatenate in Survey123? The idea is if an field can be parsed it should be parsed from the start. Address example 100 S Vine Ave. 100 would be in one field, S in another, and so on. However, to run that address against a single field geocoder or even used in a form letter for a mailing (like Dear resident at 100 S Vine Ave), I need it in a single field. When concatenated and lets say the directionality is not part of the street name (100 Vine Ave), you would get extra space so 100--Vine-Ave instead of 100-Vine-Ave trim((${houseno_txt})+ " " + (${stdirectionnospace_txt}) + " " + (${street_txt}) + " " + (${streettype_txt})) doesn't work, and =trim((${houseno_txt})+ " " + (${stdirectionnospace_txt}) + " " + (${street_txt}) + " " + (${streettype_txt})) gives an error from a formula stand point. Any suggestions?
