Hi Jay, Sorry I can't offer a solution (hopefully you've figured it out by now) but I'm curios about what windows 10 hardware you're using. I've been searching for the last few days and it's been harder than expected to find an affordable W10+4G+GPS tablet.

ArcGIS Arcade | ArcGIS for Developers "Arcade is an expression language that can be used across the ArcGIS Platform." Isn't ArcGIS Dekstop part of the platform? Getting Started | ArcGIS for Developers "Arcade is used throughout the ArcGIS Platform to provide a portable mechanism for defining and sharing expressions. These expressions will run in the Desktop, on the Web, or on mobile devices." So does Desktop mean Pro? Or ArcGIS Desktop (or is it ArcGIS for Desktop)? What's it called this release?. I can't figure it out since I can't easily find any mention of desktop on the ESRI site. Can anyone from @ESRI get the semantics straight here?

At what desktop version did arcade support begin? This doesn't seem to be an easy answer to find. The arcade site certainly doesn't tell you.

Is it possible that you simply have some empty geometries in the feature class, vs. corrupt features? I've seen it happen before (not exactly sure how it happens, but it occasionally does) but never 300+ features. Was there some odd environment used for editing? When nothing else works I also try exporting to XML workspace then re-importing to a brand new geodatabase. It sounds like it may be a lost cause but it's worth a shot.

Selecting an existing feature and applying the attributes from a feature template would be very useful.

Tim, Those extra parameters would go in the ValueInfo field of the DynamicValue table, see screen shot attached.

Yes, with the same results. I can send you some data or do a gotomeeting session to show you what's happening on my end. FWIW this is happening in several GDBs for different projects I'm workign on, so I don't think it's a data issue.

Mike, This does not work (my parameters are G|0|Diameter|wMain). Also when I try the "Rotate Selected Junctions" button on the Water Utility Network Editing toolbar I get the same results (0 rotation when the intersecting lines are split, or expected behavior when they're not split. Also my data is in a geometric network. Thanks, Rob

Based on Tim's comments and my own experimenting it seems like the rotation is not working as expected where the line is split.

As an update for anyone interested, I found that the ET GeoTools generalize will work on a line in a geometric network. While it still requires processing individual lines one at a time it is a better solution than manually deleting vertices.

Have you made any headway on this issue? I am having a similar problem rotating fittings. I've been using AA for years (with the same exact rule for symbol rotation) but after upgrading to 10.4.1 and AA version 7.15.2016 the Junction_Rotation method is not working as expected, instead it writes 0 for the rotation value.

Thanks for the suggestions. My python skills are not ready to quickly tackle this issue. If I had 40 hours to play with I'm sure I could make it happen, but that's not the case for this one. Thanks again. If anyone else has suggestions please let me know. ET GeoTools has a Generalize tool that works about 60% of the time but that still also requires hitting individual features.

Yup a straight line is exactly what I want. This is for a water utility when a bunch of service connections are snapped to a line. If you move the line endpoints you wind up with a funky looking water line, unless you manually adjust all of the vertices where the services are snapped to the line. If you delete all of the middle vertices the geometric network retains the service snapping while giving you a nice straight line. I just need to figure out hot to do it efficiently. Delete vertices takes too long when there are thousands of features.
