Robert, Thanks for the great explanation. This is how my popups are currently set up, but unfortunately the class attribute for the table cell elements <td> does not stick. There is limited support for HTML element attributes as per the AGOL help: Supported HTML—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS I've added some inline styling to at least get the font color to match, and this works well enough on the web. However, in Collector the popups are not so nice. I'm not sure how the html is ultimately processed in Collector, so this is why I was looking for an alternative way to add a hyperlink. I think we'll just have to live with some ugly popups.

Thanks for the suggestion. Maybe I should clarify my question a little bit. I'm not trying to show a field that is populated with a url. I'm trying to add a hyperlink to a specific survey as shown in my attachment. Is there another way to do this without configuring "a custom attribute display" for the popup? Alternatively, is there a way to style a custom popup to look the same as the default popups?

I want to launch a survey from a popup. Is there a simple way to add a hyperlink without going to a fully custom popup? I'd like the pop-up to look the same as the default style. In a custom popup I've figured out how to mimic the table HTML (from the default popup), however the table html elements don't support the class attribute. This means the css applied to the default popups doesnt work on the custom popup, which is most evident when viewing the popups in collector. Long story short, is there another way to add hyperlinks to pop-up?

Currently the only supported HTML element that can use the class attribute is <div>. It would be helpful to assign existing classes to other elements. As an example, when creating a table in a custom popup it would be nice to access the existing classes such as attrName and attrValue for the <td> element to closely match the default popup styles. My reports have attachments, which doesn't seem to make a difference. One minute I can generate a report on a record with attachments, the next minute the same record (with the same template) will fail. FWIW I have not had any problems the past few days....

Also see this post if any of the fields you're trying to pass have a domain (Collector will pass the description in the URL and not the coded value), which makes things a bit difficult. https://community.esri.com/thread/213202-question-about-spaces-in-survey123-connect-name-fields-of-choices

Ok I understand now. My plan was to have my form choice lists exactly the same as the domains that collector would see. Now I just need to figure out if we can live with no spaces across the board. I appreciate the help!

I agree that passing & receiving the domain value would be best, and I had assumed that was the case before I stumbled on this thread, so I am glad to find this out now! So how does Survey123 interpret the domain description value it receives via the URL? As the choice label or the choice name?

James, Can you go into a bit more detail on this, and how it's a Collector issue? Is it a problem with Collector passing the domain description instead of the coded value? Or is the issue with Survey123 interpret the value from the URL as the choice label instead of the choice name? I'm in the process of designing a valve form that will be launched from collector which will pass a subtype to S123 for verification. Ultimately I need to see the valve type on the S123 form for the user to verify, so I'm wondering if there's a workable (albeit less than perfect) solution for the time being?

James, Thanks for the update regarding time controls. Using now() as a default for the military time style doesn't seem to work since it's stored as a string (as shown in the ESRI sample). For now I'll keep my eyes open for the 3.0 beta. Thanks, Rob

Are there any other input options? I like that the spinner defaults to the current time, however it can be a bit tedious to use (especially if you're using Survey123 on a non-touch device). I looked through the ESRI Date/Time samples in S123 connect. There are some nice options (such as military time) but how do you default that to show the current time? In the end, a few different appearance types for the default time question would be helpful. Android's method of choosing time works quite well IMO (tap the hour value on a clock, then tap the minute value)

Is it possible to suggest responses for a text question (similar to select_one, but not binding you to a domain)? Or have a "select_one" field with the option to add a free-form answer? I know I can have "Other" as a select_one option with a second field to add a note, but I think the option to free-form, or have an autocomplete/suggestion list for a text question would be helpful.

Take a look at the "autocomplete" appearance type for select_one fields, I think this will do what you're looking for.

I'm on the same quest and I've yet to find a good style template that mimics what's on ArcGIS Online. However, it seems that some of the more simple symbols (i.e. filled circle) published from Pro render way better than those published from ArcMap. I have not yet experimented with more complex symbols, but the style gallery listed in the "Import Styles" section here looks promising: Styles—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop Let us know if you do find anything!
