What deployment (enterprise/desktop/online) & version of ArcGIS Insights are you using? Have you had a chance to use the report designer that was introduced in 2023.1? If you are using ArcGIS Insights in online you should already have access to that using this button.

@AndrewKinlock If you would like to use ISNULL or ISNOTNULL you can choose to do something like IF(ISNULL(<Field>), "Text",<Field>). ISNULL(FIELD) will return "True" Or "False" for the sake of the IF function or 0/1 without it. It makes sense to create a new Calc field in the analysis if you would like to support scheduled refresh. The Data Engineering is not yet at a stage where it can be scheduled to refresh. Though will be under consideration if/when DE makes it to ArcGIS Enterprise. Hope that Helps

Hi @SebFischer, The temporal and predefined filter on the page is specific to the dataset that you choose. It doesn't trigger analytical operations such as Spatial aggregation and spatial filters that are created using this dataset. Spatial Aggregation is a new result dataset in your data pane. Depending on your data and what you want to achieve, instead of spatially aggregating, you can join these datasets either using Spatial or Attribute join. This way you can retain all the columns from both sides. Then, use this dataset to create visualizations and a temporal filter on the page. Let me know if that helps. Feel free to ask any follow-up questions.

@Jennifer_Parmeley Thanks for your question. What you are asking isn't currently possible with the KPI card. However, there are other ways you can design the experience if that is suitable for you. In 2023.1, we have added a capability to turn on labelling on the map. Please see if this helps Show labels. Or you can choose to use a summary table/Reference table card on the side and turn on cross-filtering on it so that clicking on the map will show the Name of the county and its count. Hope that helps!

Hi @Eric_Castonguay, Thanks for submitting the idea. I believe you are talking about the predefined filters. I think we are looking into updating this experience. I understand sometimes you have to start from a larger dataset and then filter it down but if you have an option then I circumvent this by creating groups in the pre-defined filters or having a card created to use as a reference card to cross-filter other cards. Which could be faster for your user. It definitely is frustrating to wait every time for the filter to update. Again we are looking into improving this experience by either having a button to apply the filter or adding some kind of delay. Thanks, Akshay Harshe

Hi @Rob_Hughes_32Alpha @PaulCone2 , Just want to add to what @Ian_Muehlenhaus was saying. You can create a workbook on the ArcGIS Insights desktop, go to the home page and share it with your primary organization. This works like a one-way sync rather than like M365. Meaning, that you can publish your changes in the desktop app and replace your workbook copy in your primary ArcGIS Enterprise/Online connection. The idea here is to utilize Insights Desktop as an offline workstation with all your CPU power and share the outcome rather than a synced workbook. Having a sync option is rather difficult as you may or may not have the same data/connections available in the connected organisations. Especially if you are connecting to databases on your desktop and sharing the workbook with your ArcGIS Online (where database connections are not available). Check Share a Workbook for more info and see if this gives you something that you were looking for. Thanks, Akshay

Hi @CalebK , If you are looking to use scheduling an Insights report that updates at a certain interval to show the newest data then, then the Enterprise version will be most convenient. If you often find the editing workbook disconnected then you can use the Insights Desktop version and share the workbook with your connected org by reference. You can then create a report from this workbook. There is not much of a difference between ArcGIS Insights desktop and Enterprise, except you can connect to multiple organizations in the desktop application and cannot use scheduling. Also, some operations might be faster or slower depending on where the data is coming from. For your data to be refreshed in a shared report it is important that it is coming from the updatable source. i.e. Databases, Feature services. If you are using Excel you may want to have some data pipeline to make that into a FS or a database table which you can access in insights. The scheduler cannot re-fetch the Excel data from your disk or SharePoint locations. Please see Scheduled Updates for published reports for more information. Hope that helps, let me know if you have any questions

Hi @CalebK , Thanks for your question. I am guessing you are trying to share it with your portal org. Unfortunately, the scheduling capability is not available when you are using the ArcGIS Insights Desktop product. For several reasons, but mainly the scheduling API on your portal/online is not accessible in the Insights desktop product. It is possible to schedule this page by logging in to your portal but it will be unlikely that it will update your data depending on where it is coming from and what tools you have run. (It gets more complex from here) which is why you would be better off creating and sharing the report from your Enterprise or Online Do let me know your workflow and what you are trying to achieve and maybe I can answer some of your questions. I think you are correct, there is no separate generalized layer for zip codes. Using the living atlas zip code layer takes a lot of time or doesn't work. I will ask you to try getting the Boundaries .sd files from your My Esri (hopefully it is available), publish them to your ArcGIS Organization as a hosted layer, and add it to the workbook. Try Enabling location using Geography to see if that is faster. Sometimes fetching the data from the Living atlas takes a long time. Let me know.

There is a workaround. You might need to fiddle around a little bit and design your page in such a way that your users can use the print option of the browser. You can do the following either in the page view or the Report Designer: Organize your report outside of the report designer keeping the card dimensions in the multiples of standard card width and height. Determine your printing size, In my case, I am using Letter paper size. Letter size in portrait mode You can fit 2.5 W x 3.5 H Insights standard-size cards when you print using the browser print option. OR 3 W x 4 H Standard cards if you reduce the scaling to 60%. See the example attached. Be mindful that at reduced scaling of the titles and axes labels will be smaller. You can choose to increase the font size of the cards. Couple limitations: The Page background will always be white (Unless you create a text and media card with a colour or an image and put it in the back) 60% scaling can be smaller and you will need to educate the user to print at that scaling and options (see screenshots). This should print the current view e.g. if you filter something it will print the filtered output. Although the downside is if the user has clicked something then it will be selected in the print. (Meaning you need to use predefined filter for this to work) Hope that helps.

Whenever possible joins are queries, It is possible that we are already doing this with joins. Although this is a great idea and we have considered this in the past, we don't have plans for writing SQL in insights in the near future as it comes with a lot of security concerns.

@GBacon In my opinion this should work. If you are using a living atlas or a detailed boundary layer then I would ask you to try out a Generalized polygon for zipcode. The higher number of vertices can cause a timeout. It says "No Boundaries Available" in the screenshot above because your Portal doesn't have any boundary layers published. You can publish standard boundaries to your portal and they will show up there.
