Hello everyone, This is a question for ArcMap 10.0 When editing a feature class in ArcMap I would like only to give access and show to the editor the fields that are editable. Some fields in the feature: could be calculated using for example the Esri Attribute Assitant  -http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=e35580f27bce4782b95ea8296ac60927 - where for example the Municipality code could be calculated, have default values that do not change, are calculated after other fields are populated , for example concatenating a Township Range Sextion number with a sequential number to build an ID system fields such as created date, modified date, created by, modified by are populated by program. Hi all, I am running a web ADF application in IE 11 and this is the issue I am having: When I run the "Zoom In" with VS 2010 that open IE 11 it draw a non-transparent box in the screen and it zooms to it. It draws a rectangle and the cursor is located at the bottom right. This works fine. When I open the same page directly for IE 11, When doing a  Zoom In, it draws the rectangle and the cursor is at the upper left of the rectangle. This is not correct. Hi all In ArcGIS 10.2  with I type n the command line: sdemon -o info -I users -s <server number> -i <service number> it works, but when I type the the same command using Oracle Direct Connection it fails sdemon -o info -I users -s <server number> -i  sde:oracle11g:<instance> I get the following error message: Entry for SDE instance not found in services file, Unable to get users This last syntax worked in ArcGIS 10.0 ... Hi all, I am going to work on a model builder script run it in my desktop geodatabase, then I want to test it in a SDE development database and deploy it to an SDE production geodatabase.  Is there a tool in Model Builder that allows to point to a specific geodatabase, instead of changing the properties of each feature to change the path to the feature class in the new geodatabase. Hi all, I am using an SDE Oracle 11G database with ArcGIS 10.x and I need to icnrease th size of a text field in a feature class from 5 to 7 characters. The layer is not versioned. What is the best way to do it? I already tried to open the table associated with the feature calls using Oracle SQL Developer and to modify the size of the field in the table, but after doing this modification all the users get an error message saying that the schema is outdated. Is there a way to do that with ArcCatalog? Thanks ... View more

Hello everyone, Configuration: ArcGIS Server 10.2.2 Windows Server 2012R2 Using ArcCatalog 10.2.2 when selecting an ArcGIS Server, under Server properties, it opens a window with a tab called Data Store. In this tab  when I create a new Register Database I get the following error message: Machine xxxx cannot connect to database because the database client failed to load. Be sure the database software is installed and configure correctly. I installed Oracle 11 client 32 bits. I am able to see the SDE database with ArcCatalog. Any ideas of how to fix this issue? ... Hello everyone, I am upgrading a Windows 2012 server with ArcGIS 10.2.1 to ArcGIS 10.2.2. I was able to upgraded first ArcGis Server 10.2.1 to ArcGis 10.2.2  and the ArcGis Client 10.2.1 to ArcGis Client 10.2.2. I am also trying to upgrade  ArcGIS Web Adaptor 10.2.1  to  ArcGIS Web Adaptor 10.2.2. For that first I uninstalled  ArcGIS Web Adaptor 10.2.1  and the installed  ArcGIS Web Adaptor 10.2.2. This is my problem: When I run the  configuration for the Web Adaptor in ArcGIS 10.2.2 http://localhost/arcgis/webadaptor I get the following error message:  �??Access to the path 'C:\inetpub\wwwroot\arcgis\WebAdaptor.config' is denied.�?� I am using my own account and I am an administrator in this workstation and I have full access to the folder: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\arcgis\WebAdaptor http://support.esri.com/cn/knowledgebase/techarticles/detail/40406 Thank you ... Hi all I created several  ArcGIS Online Web Maps, with restricted access, only for the members of a group.  We have a web site http://[organization].maps.arcgis.com/home/index.html   that uses adfs  (https://adfs.[organization].com/adfs/ls/IdpInitiatedSignOn.aspx) and allows to sign on with our network accounts. I also downloaded the Basic Viewer Template in JavaScript code to customize it.  Now when I open the Basic Viewer locally  it does not open the web map but it shows a Sign In popup window . Is there anyone that is using a local application to open a map on ArcGIS online that is not public but restricted to a group? ... View more
