John, That is frustrating! My assumption is that WAB only uses the classic map viewer, not the "new", so when the map is saved in the new map viewer with grouped layers, it isn't fully compatible with the 'antiquated' WAB. So it seems to be a compatibility issue. I am not as familiar with experience builder as I am with WAB but maybe ArcGIS Experience Builder can support the "new map viewer" and allow the same functionality with group layers and hopefully similar widgets as to what you were using in WAB?

Hi Natasha, Yes, you can do this. Initializing the selector for the map is found in the map's configuration settings and then under layer actions. Here is a 'how to' article on doing this. It works quite well but not always intuitive to a non-GIS user on how to use it and especially on how to remove your selection (there is a little X with a numeric count that you have to click to clear the selection). https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000023962 I am not sure that article spells it out nicely, so here are the steps I took for this. 1. On your map widget, choose Configure: 2. Go to Layer Actions 3. Find the layer that will be affected by the selection and choose Filter: 4. From here you can change what elements get filtered out based on the map selection: Under Add Target, choose your elements 5. After hitting "Done" and going back to the map, you will see a selection option at the top left corner that you can drop down and choose how you want to select your objects 6. Perform the selection and then watch the 'action' element change! 7. To clear the selection, press the X next to the selection number:

Elizabeth, What do you mean that the layers will not draw? It looks like they are drawing to me. However, the symbology is wrong. The project locations are trying to draw symbology like this: But there are no attributes that match those criteria. You will need to re-symbolize that layer in order for this to draw properly like you would expect. The "project locations" field only has these attributes: I hope this helps. As you can see, they do not exactly match with the what the symbols say.

Yeah it's too bad it's no longer part of the default list. There is likely a back-door way to get geolocated twitter tweets and throw them into a geodatabase, but I don't know how to do that. Twitter has some links that show how to work with geolocations and such: https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/twitter-api/v1/geo/places-near-location/api-reference/get-geo-search

Hi Helen, Whenever I have a Pro project that all of a sudden stops working or goes extraordinarily slow, it's usually related to one data layer causing the issues. For me, it's usually a huge CAD file (like 25+ MB) or a large file from a slow network connection (like a shared network drive that is taking too long to load). For whatever reasons, these two reasons have caused my projects to basically stop working or go so slow that it isn't even worth it. I am not sure this helps or not but it could help single out one issue if you are seeing the same thing.

I can't get it in Pro either. The best bet I had was to load in the Citations layer directly through this link: https://clarity.maptiles.arcgis.com/arcgis/rest/services/World_Imagery/MapServer/4 but that still didn't allow me to see a popup of info... But if I "zoom to" the feature in ArcGIS Online then I can see the full length of that image:

Hey @JoeBorgione , sad to see you go! I am sorry wasn't able to make it to your retirement party last month but I hope to see you around some. Will you get bored of your retired life and come to some of the 'community' events around town (like Maps on the Hill, SLUG, etc.)? If so, I hope to see you!

Wade, There is a social media and public information web app. This link should get you started: https://www.esri.com/about/newsroom/arcwatch/learn-to-add-tweets-to-your-web-maps/ But looking into it a little more, I am not sure that the info is current. Somehow I found this web app that has live-ish tweets, but not sure how they're pulling the data (web app item page). It looks as though all the Twitter based live maps have been "retired" according to this list: https://www.arcgis.com/home/search.html?q=owner%3A%22esri_en%22%20twitter&t=content&restrict=false

Hailey, That is a good question. It looks to me that in the grouping of the world imagery, you have to zoom in far enough for the "Citations" layer to become visible, then you can click on the tile to get the info: But that zoom window of where the Citations is visible is only one small notch around the "small building" size:

Linear referencing would only work if you had a linear network along with the correct routes and mile points. It sounds like here it's just XY with an offset of distance and direction. I think performing an offset would help with this but that is easier said than done. One old thread I found on this shows a calculated way of doing this from ArcMap 9.3!!!: https://community.esri.com/t5/data-management-questions/offsetting-points/td-p/442421 But the idea still seems to work. In the "new X" and "new Y" fields, the calculations would use your distance field and you might need to make a new field called Azimuth that would be a numeric representation of your direction (where I would think N = 0, E = 90, S = 180, and W = 270, but I could be wrong).

Ah I see. When I click on Launch Course, I get this start up screen (after selecting my Pro version to 2.9): I wonder if it is a regional thing or some sort of internet blocking (or even anti-virus blocking) thing. Is there a way for you to disable any firewalls or antivirus software?

Yeah, that is a problem and something I have struggled with too, regarding dashboard functionality. I have used embedded elements with tabs to try and get around this issue but the tabs do not switch automatically when I want them to.
