I agree with what Rebecca said. Also, you could post a comment on it which would hypothetically bump it to the top of the Recent Activity.

If no one comments on the poll, then the poll/discussion will not get bumped to the top of the discussion pages. Therefore, it sort of get lost in the GeoNet, unfortunately. You could post the link to your poll in this post so that users can see it and vote on it.

You will need to use web-hosted photos in order to have them displayed on your web-map. You can do this by adding the photos to your ArcGIS Online account: Using photos stored in ArcGIS Online | ArcGIS Blog Or other sites, like Flickr (like you mentioned): Add Flickr photos to ArcGIS Online web maps | ArcGIS Blog If you're wondering where to get the link that has .jpg in it, the article above explains how to get that. On the side, here is an article about adding geotagged photos to your map: Adding geotagged photos to your web map | ArcGIS Blog

You will have to use the code block to make a basic logic statement utilizing If..Then. See this article on the basics for doing this: Calculate Field examples—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop and scroll down to "Using code blocks" I am guessing that you will need to check each field if it is empty or now. I would start it like: If !LOCN!.len() <> 0 (but you'll have to tinker around with the code to make it behave properly!)

There are many different ways to do this. One way is to change your map projection in ArcGIS (right click on Layer in the Table of Contents and go to Properties then click on the Coordinate System tab) (Specifying a coordinate system—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop ) to a coordinate system that uses Lat/Long. Then you can Add XY values to your features: Add XY Coordinates—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop

Could you try .lstrip()? So !LOCN!.lstrip() + " " + !LOCD!.lstrip() + " " + !LOCS!.lstrip() Would that work?

This would not happen natively in ArcGIS Online. You would likely need to custom program that on an "on click" event in your web map app. Though, some Story Maps have this capability in various forms and fashions which might work for what you're needing: Story Maps | Story Maps

Did you install ArcGIS after installing ArcPad? I have found that going in this order makes me lose the extension. The solution to this is uninstall ArcPad and then reinstall it. If that is not the case then try the suggestion listed at this page: 38344 - ArcPad Data Manager extension is not visible in ArcMap 10 This is the description of the above link: "After installing ArcPad 7.1.1 or 8.0 with ArcGIS Desktop 10, the ArcPad Data Manager extension is not visible in ArcMap. If ArcPad 10.0 is installed prior to ArcGIS 10.0, the Data Manager will also not appear."

There are a few things that I have seen that messed with my map services. 1) making sure all permissions were set the same (mostly meaning making sure they are all public). 2) making sure my actual path of my data is set the way you mentioned (web server/arcgis/rest/etc.) and not to a local server host. Sometimes my data got published funky and I could view my web maps fine since I was on the same network but no one else could (like a story map). 3) Make sure you can view this web map on another computer with possibly an outside connection (like, not on your local server).

Much of the time a story map pulls from an existing web map. If that web map has layers in it, they should be reflected in the story map. Is that not happening on your end? Is there a way to post a link to your story map?

Yes, unfortunately. When you republish a service, you can only do so much to that service before it gets really screwed up. I only re-publish the same service if I am just changing some geometry, attributes, or simple symbology. If I change anything "bigger" than that (like re-ordering, field names, adding a field, etc), then I have to make a completely new service because it will not reflect well in AGOL.
