Hi Antonio, Take a look at the instructions here for publishing a web map: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/share-maps/publish-features.htm This will list how to do this from ArcMap and from ArcGIS Pro (as well as other options).

Hi Tohami, When I click the link, I get this error: {"error":{"code":498,"message":"Invalid Token","details":[]}} Looking it up led me to this page about implementing app logins: Implementing App Login | ArcGIS for Developers I am not sure if this helps or not though.

Emily, I agree with Dan. Good luck... I am in the same situation with a high resolution laptop that makes ArcMap all kinds of crazy. There are a few really useful threads on GeoNet (like Dan posted) that give a few hints on what to do, but I find everyone is different with what works for them. I have a "HD" monitor I plug into my laptop and I 'dumb down' my resolution to 1920x1080 and this tends to work ok with ArcMap. But, this has to be plugged in at startup. Otherwise things get crazy and I have to restart. Basically, it will take a lot of adjusting to different resolutions with a lot of restarts before it will start working like it should (and hopefully it will start working like it should). I found that the best resolution for me is to get familiar with ArcGIS Pro. This behaves like it should regardless of monitor resolution.

Hi, this sounds pretty useful. Is there a way for you to link to a 'demo' map that has this widget loaded in it? Thanks!

Tif, This may be a silly question, but why is it that the JavaScript will update from 3.16 to 3.17 when 4.0 is already out?

Emilie, This is a great step-by-step workflow that you have here. One thing though, I cannot see most of your images. This is what I see: Is there a way to get those images to appear?

Per, I'm not really sure. I'm afraid that I do not know enough about Portal to go any deeper. I wish there was a Portal guru on this board that we could consult with. The best I know would be to tag Jake Skinner

Howdy, I downloaded and installed the Web AppBuilder Developer Edition 2.0 on my computer. Everything went fine and I was able to create some maps and modify them with no problems. I exported a map and modified it on my desktop computer (modified the code). I have it "hosted" on a Public Google Drive folder that acts as a server and works just fine. I want to import it back into the WAB Developer page so that I can make more modifications, but when I go to Import and choose Import from my computer, I navigate to the Zip file, and it gives me the error of Invalid App: I am not sure what to do differently. I looked through this documentation but it is not clear how I am supposed to proceed. https://developers.arcgis.com/web-appbuilder/guide/create-import-app.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_CD827E29515941F490AF21F6F2404E35 Am I going about this all wrong? This is my first time using WAB Developer so it's possible I'm not thinking clearly. I am using Firefox on my organizational AGOL account. It also gives me the same error on Chrome (version 50). When I look at the logs in ...WebAppBuilderForArcGIS\server\logs\appbuilder.log, it just says: [ERROR] app - Invalid App. Before that I see: [INFO] server - Set isXT = true; Thanks in advance!

Hi Lauren, These are some good questions. Maybe you could provide a little more detail? I am assuming that you have ArcGIS for Desktop and that you have an organizational account for ArcGIS Online. You may want to make a map in Desktop that shows what you want to see and then publish that map to your AGOL account. There are some tips and tricks regarding publishing, but for what you're doing, you will likely just want to have an empty MXD that only shows the counties and contamination points. Don't add a basemap and don't add other AGOL data. Publish this data, then go to your AGOL account and create a web map from this feature service you created. Publish hosted feature layers—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS Then you can add other data from AGOL on your web map (like the ones you are seeing from other websites). I think this will be a good start. To answer your question about the difference, use Desktop to make the maps, print maps, perform any analysis, and use AGOL to deliver your maps to the public (or whoever needs them). Here is some broad information on best practices regarding what you are doing: Best practices for using layers in maps—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS I hope this helps!

Hi Gob, Are you using ArcMap? Which version? Either way, you might want to look into the Maplex Label Engine. Under the Customize Menu, go to Toolbars and choose Labeling. Drop down the drop down list and choose Use Maplex Label Engine. From here, take a look at this article on labeling polygons: Placing labels outside polygons when they won't fit inside—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop

Hi Donald, The functionality in ArcGIS Pro is a little different than ArcMap. Most signs want to point you towards using the Copy Features tool to make a new feature class (which many of us do not want to do). Take a look at this tool made by Bruce Harold: http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=904786f5db4e4a75afbb2790c7f90d35 It should do what you need it to do.
