Hi Melanie Just to confirm, you mean poke through access to the GIS Server Admin URL? e.g. https://amachinename.domain.com.au:6443/server or access to the portaladmin component?

Has anyone built a python script to automate reverse geocoding new points collected from Collector (or any app really)? I saw the Crowdsource web app template has this logic built into it (reverse geocodes the points created from the uploaded photos, and includes the address information in the attributes) Thinking this could be setup as a scheduled task and run every hour to update any new records (using perhaps a boolean field or editor timestamp) with address information from the World Geocode Service. The field user might not see this info when collecting data, but the records will be enriched for viewing in the back-office or field users looking at existing features.

Having a similar issue on a 10.6 single machine base deployment using the Esri Azure template. 'Your federated server version does not support web tools" Trying to publish a GP Tool from Pro from my local machine to this instance. Any ideas? You mention access to the Admin API? I believe that this is not exposed externally using the default security settings for Azure. Does this need to be tweaked?

I see the status is 'reviewed' What was the outcome of this review? Our bureau is also pumping out some time enabled weather services (WMS). Was hoping on pulling them into the Map/Scene Viewer.

This video might also help explain a bit more info about the purpose of the ArcGIS Data Store (relational) https://youtu.be/s1X2l-9LbIM?t=634

I have a polygon regions layer. I have a number of other layers that have already been pre-clipped to these regions The region ID is included for every feature Bit like this, the boxes are the regions: End goal: As a user, I want to choose a region from a dropdown, and then this opens a web map/web app with only the relevant features being shown and centered into the relevant bounding box for that region. The bit I am struggling to work out, is a good approach to do the bit in red above. Everything else is ok. Some ideas: I could automate creating a series of web maps with relevant filters applied to each of the layers, and then I could use the relevant Web Map ID in a URL parameters. I don't like this, as will end up with lots of web maps and will be tricker if I need to update a popup/style for all of them. I was hoping that I could apply a filter to all of the layers in my web map purely through using a URL parameter. I do not think this is possible? AppBuilder might be a bit of a heavy app for this, but even with a hidden filter widget, I do not think I can use a URL parameter to call an app to filter all layers with a def query. If I was to go down the JS API route, it looks like I could possibly achieve what I want with featureLayer.setDefinitionExpression="regionID" Just looking to brainstorm any ideas or send me some relevant links so I can do some homework before going down the wrong path. Thanks!

When I create thumbnails for my raster function templates and reference them from a folder that is accesible to the GIS Server, I still dont see them preview when I view them in the Map Viewer. Is there a best practise for getting thumbnails to flow through to the Map Viewer interface?

I missed that. Thanks for pointing that out. Other than bumping up to Standard, if this is the only capability I require, can anyone suggest some workarounds? I have used shp2sql tool in the past, but perhaps this process would be suitable for something like GDAL? From memory this has capability to read from a file geodatabase and write into SQL Server.

I have no need for an Enterprise Geodatabase. However, I was using an advanced license with ArcGIS Pro to export/copy simple polygon featureclasses directly into SQL Server 2016 (stored as native geoms). This was done through simply copying my layer in the catalog pane, and pasting into the database connection to a SQL Server instance (no Enterprise Geodatabase). However, I now have a basic license and it would appear that I can't perform this operation. Can someone confirm this is expected behavior? I assumed Basic would let me still work with SQL Server native spatial tables? And if so, is there a good workaround for this?

Im also getting the same issue with a 10.5.1 base deployment. Can publish a scene from Pro fine and the jobs looks like it completes with a green tick. But then when I open it in the Scene Viewer = fails to loads all of the layers from the original scene "Scene service is missing root node." I have also tried throwing a simple scene package into My Content, but this also gives me the same error in the scene viewer.

Thanks Kory. All good. Its the first time I have ever used the tool. Would love to see the Javascript team have a think about a sample to visualize these charts alongside the Sky Volume layers in a web app.

Would be really neat if it was incorporated into the new charting capabilities in Pro (as a new type of chart).

I was hoping on performing some analysis with the Skyline Graph tool (have already calculated outputs using the Skyline and Skyline Volume tools). The tool is available in Pro but when I run it, it succeeds but does not give me an output chart. I note in the params it mentions out_graph is not supported. A little confused on how/if I can output a Skyline Graph with this tool in Pro or if I need to backtrack into ArcMap, or if there is an easy way I can create a chart from the results perhaps in a separate program and then import as an image for my layout? Would also be interested to hear if anyone has seen any interactive ways of visualising the charts and skyline results in an app that uses the web scene.
