Hi all, I’m trying to apply conditional visibility on two fields together but not sure how to do it. I have a Yes/No question; if ‘Yes’ is selected, a second field with a list of options will become visible. One of the options is ‘Other’. If ‘Other’ is selected, then a ‘Specify Other’ field should become visible. The problem is that when the answer is ‘No’ for the first question, the ‘Specify Other’ field is still visible. How can I keep the ‘Specify Other’ field close? Thanks

We’ve been using the Classic Collector to collect and update street signs. I published the Signs layer a few months ago with Subtypes and Domains and it works well in the Classic Collector for both adding a new sign and editing an existing one, but I encountered issues in the new Collector when trying to edit an existing sign. Each sign has a Category – Regulatory, Warning, Guide, etc. When a user selects a sign category, then in another field only the signs that belong to that category will show up (on a dropdown menu). In the Classic Collector, when I change the category of an existing sign I’ll get a message and when I select “Keep Current Value” I can immediately see the dropdown menu that is relevant to the newly selected category. In the new Collector when I select a new category for an existing sign I can’t see the dropdown menu of the newly selected category, but instead, I first need to hit ‘Submit’ and then select ‘Edit’ again and only then I can see the dropdown menu of the newly selected category. Is there a way to change that behavior in the new Collector? Thanks

The field crews are the ones that going to update the data, they are actually going to QA the existing records, and photos can help later in case things are unclear. I wouldn't need to update the drop down list as we pretty much know what signs we have/use and the lists are long enough to include all the relevant signs. The form is simple, but I'd like to use the choice-filter option and that is why I use Survey123 and not Collector.

Hi Doug, I used the related table option before, for a survey I build for recurring inspections, but the new one I'm creating is different. This survey is for street signs - mapping new ones and validating existing ones so I want the field crews to update the features themselves, not as related records. The reason I decided to use Survey123 is because I have different categories of signs (Regulatory, Warning, etc.) and under each category there are over hundred signs, and with Survey123 I can apply a category choice filter - users will first select the category and then in the next question only the signs belong to this category will be available from a drop down list. If there is a way to do something like that in Collector I'd be happy to use it instead.

Hi Shwu-jing, I opened a ticket with esri support when I couldn't attach a picture to the survey and from them I learned about this enhancement request: ENH-000112172: Allow users to view images from submitted surveys in the survey's inbox. I built this survey for one of our departments after I realized that they are using another app (not from esri), and I convinced them that esri mobile/field apps are much better for them, and now I can't deliver whet they need. Not with Survey123 and not with Collector. This is a major problem for me.

I built a survey based on an existing feature service to help users updating existing features and also collecting new ones. In both scenarios the users will need to add pictures to the surveys. To view the existing features in Survey123, the users need to access the survey via the Inbox >> map, but this option wouldn’t let them add a photo. Using Collector to open the surveys doesn’t work either as the Collector works on its own copy of the feature service and updates will create new records instead of updating existing ones. Is there any other way to update existing features and add attachments via a map? Thanks

I built a survey based on an existing feature service that has a unique Unit_ID column (integer). The field crews are going to review existing features and also collect new ones and they will need to assign a unique Unit_ID number to each of the new collected features. Is there a way to show the largest Unit_ID value and set the field appearance to spinner? This way the field crews will increment the largest value by 1 each time they are adding a new feature, and they won’t need to remember what was the last Unit ID they used.

Yes, the last update to the feature service was on 9/6 and since then they could not upload surveys. The field app is 3.6.158 I think the problem is with the feature layer. The layer appears on the AGOL map but it doesn’t show up on the layers list (under my content) and doesn't show up not when searching for it.

Thanks Philip Wilson I copied the sqlite database to my PC and modified the local path, and could see the 95 surveys in the outbox, but the sending failed. I got an error message that the feature service requirements not met and that Supports Apply Edits with GlobalID must be true. This survey originally published in June of 2017 and since then worked without any issues. The last submission was in September of this year. I tried to republish the survey today and got the "apply Edits with GlobalID must be true" error there as well. What would be the best way for me to fix this survey? I have a backup of the existing 430 records, and I have the sqlite database with the 95 new surveys. Ayelet

One of the users has 95 completed surveys in the outbox that for an unknown reason cannot be sent, even when the device is connected to the office wi-fi. I filled out a new survey and couldn't send it either. When I hit 'send now' the green circle keeps spinning without sending the survey. Other surveys that were collected on the same device were sent successfully. What will happen to the stuff in the outbox if I'll re-download the problematic survey? How can I make sure I'm not going to lose them? Thanks

The survey is updating a related table with 1:M. I can see image on the report when there is only a single image attached to a survey. When there are multiple images non of them will show up even when each photo is under a different field name {photo2}, {photo3}, etc.
