We use the ESRI disaster recovery tools to export our enterprise site from our primary machine to our backup machine. Last week we needed to switch to the backup machine and after doing so we found that users were able to reload their Workforce project (which successfully creates a replica) but they were unable to sync. The ArcGIS Server error log is below. Before we open an ESRI helpdesk ticket, I just wanted to confirm if we should expect the Workforce mobile app should be able to sync when the project is exported from server A and imported to server B? Thanks, - Jake SEVERE Dec 1, 2022, 6:56:08 PM Error executing tool. Hello, Just wanted to confirm that the Field Map App DOES NOT consume locators that are published to your Portal (ArcGIS Enterprise)? The locators are available if I consume the web map in the Portal map viewer, but when I consume the web map in the Field Maps App, I can only navigate to configured layers in the map or by address, we are not able to choose Locators that are available on our Portal. Just wanted to ensure that this is the expected behavior. Thanks, - Jake

Thanks for the help @AndyGup . I believe we are going to move forward by creating a new web map with fewer layers (and more content included in a vector basemap) to see if that will improve performance on iOS mobile devices.

Thanks for the response Zach. Our 'issue' with webhooks not firing as expected has diminished since I wrote this post so the issue no longer has an elevated priority. I do appreciate your response to our inquiry. - Jake

My question is the same as @SarahPC . We would like to allow for the copy a sent survey to a new record but would like one column to not retain the copied value (our inspection key value column). Is there any method to support this functionality? Thanks, - Jake

Hello, We have a custom JavaScript app that our that is used on both iOS mobile devices and Windows desktop PCs. On iOS iPad devices (8th Gen iPad OS version 15.4), when users pan around at zoomed in scales (1:600 scale), the map will eventually refresh taking the users back to the default extent. We have noticed that the issue does not occur at zoomed out scales (like 1:4k) even though more content is being displayed. We just have noticed an increase of these events with the 4.23 API. We have rolled back to the 4.20 API and notice that the issues still persist in the Safari browser, but not on the Chrome browser. Any insight about what could be the possible cause of the map refreshing after multiple pan actions (5-15 pans will cause the issue) on iPad browsers only (does not occur on desktop PCs). Thanks, - Jake

Pros: loose coupling allows for ad hoc work to occur, for example an inspector can perform an inspection that was not scheduled in Workforce by submitting a Survey123 survey for the work Cons: loose coupling makes it difficult to prevent duplicate surveys. An inspector can submit the same survey multiple times (this can be prevented with javascript, but not out of the box). Also see here (https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-workforce-questions/force-survey-for-assignment-to-be-submitted/m-p/1106542#M2182)

We use ArcGIS Workforce in conjunction with Survey123 to perform 80K water distribution network inspections per year. The work management component consisting of where the employee needs to be, when and for what reason, are all delivered in a map centric app that is easy to use. We couple Workforce with Survey123 so that our inspectors can answer questions specific to the type of inspection that they are performing. The loose coupling between Workforce and Survey123 presents pros and cons, depending on your workflow design. - Jake

Issue: It seems that periodically (on approximately 1% of our surveys submitted) we have Survey123 webhooks that are not firing when new surveys are submitted. Setup: Our surveys (around 20 different surveys for inspection activities) are submitted to our ArcGIS Enterprise (10.9) and we have webhooks (for each survey) set up via the Survey123 website connected to our ArcGIS Enterprise. The webhooks fire when new surveys are submitted and do not pass any event data. The webhooks call FME server workbenches that ETL data and perform business logic. Scale: Our users submit 300-400 new surveys a week and about 2-3x per week the webhook does not fire. This is a rare occurrence, and unpredictable. Our evidence that the webhook does not fire is that the FME Server workbench is not called. Question: Is there any log that we can refer to in our ArcGIS Enterprise so that we can determine if the webhooks are firing?? Thanks, - Jake

I also support a workforce that finds it more efficient to use a keyboard attached to the tablet when filling out surveys and am interested in method that would allow users to fill out the entire survey using the keyboard.

I'll be following this topic. We have a similar issue. In our workflow, users initiate surveys from Workforce. We pass the Workforce ID to the survey as a key value. Currently there is no mechanism to prevent users from submitting multiple surveys with the same key value. This is a minor issue for us and the constraints that would be needed from a Survey123 perspective to prevent this from occurring could cause issues with other workflows, but I am curious if this is an issue for others. - Jake

+1... We would also like to be able to change the symbology in Workforce, specifically for the user in the field (using the field app). - Jake
