Hi Julie, I can also confirm (like Scott) that you can add additional columns to the Workforce Assignments layer. We have additional columns that we expose via integrations with Survey123. One thing we have learned though is that you should not attempt to change the symbology of the Workforce layer (make the symbology based on one or more of the additional columns). Symbology will behave in a webmap, but not the native mobile app. - Jake

We retrieved the error from our ArcGIS Server log when users were attempting to sync (and or create replicas, I can't remember which). The error on the original post is from our ArcGIS Server.

Thanks @MattMoore. The issue was just as you described. We are unsure how our Enterprise instance was configured with the directory that it was using because our configuration files that we use to build the site specify a different (shorter) path. Thanks for pointing us in the right direction, this resolved an issue that has plagued us for a few weeks.

One thing you could explore... your notebook process makes its edits to the 'reference' data via a replica and syncs them. Then the editors get those updates when they sync as well. I have tried something similar in the past (unsuccessfully, but don't let my failures discourage your effort).

We experience sync issue with our Workforce project as well. The cause is hard to pinpoint, but the ArcGIS Server log will give you clues. From my experience, there is usually an issue with the replica for that field user. A workaround would be to reload the Workforce project on the mobile device. This essentially creates a new replica for that user. The downside of reloading the Workforce project is that any changes that are in the previous replica (the one that wouldn't sync) are lost.

We use the ESRI disaster recovery tools to export our enterprise site from our primary machine to our backup machine. Last week we needed to switch to the backup machine and after doing so we found that users were able to reload their Workforce project (which successfully creates a replica) but they were unable to sync. The ArcGIS Server error log is below. Before we open an ESRI helpdesk ticket, I just wanted to confirm if we should expect the Workforce mobile app should be able to sync when the project is exported from server A and imported to server B?
