Shawn, another suggestion, edit the MXD (after making a backup) and remove the layers there too. This will prevent any attempt to query or identify the now deleted/moved data. I do this especially for basemaps, leaving just enough in the mxd to provide the area if interest in case I have to restart the service Or republish (e.g. If on a new server or version). That is, simple mxd.....service drawn/supplied just from the cache.

You can always manually reorder them in the config file for the widget. Robert or someone can point you to the specific file (I'm away from my office computer). I dI'd this in my apps, not alpha, but in the order I wanted and made sense for our users. I created in order the best I could, then tweaked order as needed. I have about 78 book marks.

LLong shot...but make sure the .zip file was created in the .gdb folder. If it is, MOVE the .zip to a different folder. I would then closed and restart any of the ArcGIS software, of even maybe reboot to make sure there aren't any strange locks on files. See if that helps.

If you are already using the LocalLayer widget, you should be able to add or change it using the WAB again, then just redeploy. Did you make changes to the deployed version outside of WAB That you don't want to lose? if that is the case, you may have to add the additional layers manually.

Is there a particular custom widget from the video that you are looking to find? That video was shot during the beta testing period of the Web App Builder (developers edition, that is local, not AGOL) so any demo specific items may have changed since that time. however, many of the widgets in the video are probable the widgets that already come with the software. You can choose which widgets you would like to use, and there are options to customize these to a point, all from within the software. There have been quite a few user created widgets that extend what the out of the box software does. Check out Web AppBuilder Developer Edition – Customization Resource List to see a list of what is available. If you haven't downloaded and installed the WAB software locally yet, try Tips and Observations for getting Web AppBuilder - Developer Edition Installed if you are trying to create your own custom widget, there is/was a patch that was missing in the instructions. I have links to several discussions that talk about it in the resource list docs. i hope this helps. If you have a specific custom widget you are looking for, and don't find it on the list, it may be that someone is already working on it.

Tim, suggestion....when updating you post with a new version, it is great that you are listing the changes, but it would also be helpful if you list the date you posted, by each version heading. that is: Version 1.3 (3/13/2015): Tthat would make it easier for others to know whether they already downloaded or not. Thanks for your work on this widget. I haven't been able to test yet, but look forward to trying next week sometime.

This was listed as a question in the older forums. Converted to a document since it contains a Solution. -Rebecca Problem: When using ArcGIS Server 10.1 with the Active Directory as the Security Data Store and a domain account to access the Active Directory users, if you update/change the password for the domain account, you may get a SEVERE error in the ArcGIS Server Logs: "Unable to process request. Could not initialize class com.esri.arcgis.discovery.security.manager WebSecurityManager" and a similar error when trying to access the REST endpoint (via http://<server>/arcgis/rest/services) - - sorry, can't give exact error right now since I have fixed the problem on my machine and I didn't capture the error. Suggested Solution: ArcGIS Security is currently storing the password for the domain acount. To fix the problem 1) short term: re-run the Configurations Settings (in AGS Maanger), and supplying the new password. This would need to be done every time the password is changed; 2) long term: use a domain account that doesn't require the pasword to change. Use this account/password in the Configurations Settings. Per Greg Ponto, this is also called a "service account", for those of us that aren't the active directory domain administrators (i.e. me). Whether this will come out as a knowledge base, in help or behavior changed in a service pack is yet to be determined. It doesn't sound like it is a bug, but more of how the active directory security works. Maybe this will help others until the KB/help are updated. This may also affect the ldap store version, but I haven't tested since I am not using that method ______ This document was generated from the following discussion: Solution:Could not initialize class com...discovery.security.manager.." w/Active Dir Comment: Thanks Becky, We ran into this issue today and your post saved alot of troubleshooting for me. I'm not sure whether your can prevent new tags from being created (don't have access right now to check), but you can use some tools to maybe clean things up a bit. Check out Tools · Esri/ago-admin-wiki Wiki · GitHub I haven't worked with this yet ArcGIS Item Information but think I will...looks like it has potentially good for viewing and editing tags. I'm away from my office so not able to test this week.

i think the answer to that is "yes" if you want everything to work smoothly right out of the box, as designed, but that isn't always a solution. We have reasons to use the basemaps we do, and though the esri basemaps would make life easier, I would rather do a little (or a lot, considering the size of Alaska) then just use the default. Web Mercator Auxiloary just doesn't do it for me. My opinion.

No, I use my Basemap as the first Basemap, not an Esri version. The application will look at the first Basemap to determine the spatial reference it will us. So I created my own Basemap, using a service from our local ArcGIS Server, that was already in Albers. i set that as the Basemap, and don't add any other layers to that map (ie, not operational layer). Then in WAB I select that as my map to use. I Don't think you can mix and match SRs in one spot, so if you set it to your custom wkid, you lose the ability to also access the esri basemaps. That is, I do not think it can project on the fly (basemaps that is). In Flex you could....I'm hoping that the JavaScript API will eventually, but even outside of WAB, I could not get that to work, but also haven't dug too much into it, since I'm a good hack, not a greater hacker.
