Hi Alfred, You can create a shortcut for the Rectangle Zoom Out tool using the Keyboard Shortcuts UI. It can be Shift+Z or whatever you want. https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/get-started/manage-keyboard-shortcuts.htm > Add a new command and shortcut

Chiming in a year late, which probably isn't too helpful, but can you use project templates for this workflow? Or use web maps in your portal? Sorry, never mind about the template suggestion. I overlooked this in your post: We did a test using APRX files but this resulted in other files being created on the user's system including GDBs, ATBX, etc. for each APRX opened.

Hi Rose, I don't have an answer to your question about submitting faulty aprx's but wanted to mention that ArcGIS Pro explicitly does not support using cloud storage sites like OneDrive and Google Drive. This is stated in many places in the documentation, including System requirements, Create a project, and Save a project. The syncing problem with geodatabases is one of the reasons.

Hi Andrew, Unchecking this setting in the catalog browsing options might be useful to you. It doesn't directly address your suggestions, but does allow you to stop browse dialog boxes from returning to previous locations.

Hi, I see it too in Chrome and Firefox, but not in Edge. I'll forward this message to Pro doc team in case it hasn't been seen yet. Update: it is a known issue and teams are working toward a resolution. No timetable on that.

Hi coolflippers, When the Catalog pane is in focus, the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+F puts the cursor in the search box. This shortcut was added at version 3.1. Other catalog-related shortcuts are documented at ArcGIS Pro keyboard shortcuts.

Hi Andrea, I recommend the Manage data tutorial. It's not specifically about how to use the catalog view, but you do use it a lot in the tutorial. It will give you a pretty good sense of how to do things in Pro from a catalog view perspective. It includes working with metadata (viewing, importing, creating thumbnails), some other things unique to catalog views (viewing items as tiles), and common tasks you can also do from the Catalog pane or in other ways (search for data, add data to a map, create folder connections, change default items, etc.) It's kind of long, and also has a lot of geoprocessing stuff that may not be as relevant to you. Comes with a 10-minute video, although I think you'll get more out of doing the steps. I don't know of any training materials focused specifically on using catalog views, but I think it's a good idea.

Hi Bud, When ArcGIS Pro 3.1 is released, there will be a shortcut key, Alt+F3, that does what you're asking for--or something close to it. When the Catalog pane is active, and no catalog view is open, Alt+F3 opens a catalog view and makes it active. (Doesn't close the Catalog pane.) If a catalog view is active, and the Catalog pane is not open, Alt+F3 opens the Catalog pane and makes it active. (Doesn't close the catalog view.) If the Catalog pane and a catalog view are both open, Alt+F3 switches focus from one to the other. (Doesn't close either one.) You'll find several other new catalog-related shortcut keys in the ArcGIS Pro keyboard shortcuts help. But don't look yet because they won't be there until the software release.

Hi jecobdruv, here are some good resources. Some overlap between them. ArcGIS Pro Quick-Start Tutorials playlist on youtube. The newer ones are in the 7-10 minute range and more detailed. The older ones are are in the 1-3 minute range and give a quick overview. ArcGIS Pro quick-start tutorials in the software doc. These are detailed step-by-step exercises with data. They're the complete versions of the youtube videos. Roughly 30 minutes to an hour per tutorial. Migrate from ArcMap resources on the ArcGIS Pro product page. ArcGIS Pro training through Esri Academy--filter on Format= E-learning format, Product = ArcGIS Pro, and (optionally) check the Free check box to get a good list of results. Tutorials on the Learn ArcGIS site--I prefiltered this link for ArcGIS Pro and Beginner (even though you're not really a beginner). Good luck!

Hi Ramon, scale-based symbol sizing is supported by the ArcGIS Pro app for symbols in map layers. It's not a property of the data, so I don't think it matters how the data is packaged. But if you're consuming the data in other apps, it won't work unless those apps also support scale-based sizing.
