It is a confirmed bug. We also have the same issue as well as many others. They are marking it as going to be fixed in a future release. I have not gotten any information on when or what that release would be. See discussion in https://community.esri.com/thread/198042-problems-with-version-171

We are having the same issues with the pop-ups. This is totally unacceptable, even more so when I find out that people were pointing this out in BETA. How can a build release be done that has so many large bugs. Our client’s field personnel can’t access the data they need and rely on. It has eroded a lot of faith in the GIS from the field personnel and non-technical managers and reinforced their fears. It will be harder to add more services and expand their use of GIS. We have been building applications as always on and accessible and not having any timeline for a fix is very frustrating. I did not like relying on a software base that we couldn’t control a version of for this very reason. I do prefer building custom applications for that reason but not all clients can afford a custom solution or want one.

I also have the same sort of questions. If I have an existing feature class, can I use it to populate pull-downs with domains? I would need to have the survey be limited to existing features searched through a field such as a name or ID from the feature class.

I am working with a flex mobile project and trying to add an attachment to a feature layer. I get an error when I try to run the following code: signInspectionFeature.addAttachment(selectedSignInspection.attributes["OBJECTID"], bytes, imageUpdateName); The error is: TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.

at flash.net::URLLoader/onComplete() I have checked the bytes variable that is a bytes array and it has all the required data (bytes available etc. correct). I don't have access to FeatureLayerTask.as so I do not know what line 529 is looking for.

Matt, I use the mapClickHandler within the Map and an extent from the mapPoint of the click to increase the sensitivity. I adjust the additional numbers that I add to the extent based on the type of map, data and scales that I am working with. I then use selectionComplete within the feature layer to show the infowindow. <esri:Map id="myMap"
mapClick="map_mapClickHandler(event)" private function myMap_mapClickHandler(event:MapMouseEvent):void
{
// set the selection query based on the click
var vPt:MapPoint = event.mapPoint;
mapClickPoint = event.mapPoint;
var vX:Number = vPt.x;
var vY:Number = vPt.y;
var vExtent:Extent = new Extent(vX - 20, vY - 20,vX + 20, vY + 20);
queryMapClick.geometry = vExtent;
streetLightSelection.selectFeatures(queryMapClick);
myMap.infoWindow.hide();
}

Yes you can use the locator package in the Flex API. https://developers.arcgis.com/en/flex/api-reference/com/esri/ags/tasks/Locator.html The Geocode an address sample shows how to use it: https://developers.arcgis.com/en/flex/sample-code/geocode-an-address.htm It took some doing for me to get it to work, I had problems getting my custom Geocode Service to work and tool a little bit to figure out how to use it within the map spatial reference. It appears that your url for the service is not working. Can you post more of your code to show how you are calling the geocode locator?

Have your tried looking at the queryRelatedFeatures function within the featurelayer or the RelationshipQuery? https://developers.arcgis.com/en/flex/api-reference/index.html?com/esri/ags/layers/FeatureLayer.html&com/esri/ags/layers/class-list.html https://developers.arcgis.com/en/flex/api-reference/com/esri/ags/tasks/supportClasses/RelationshipQuery.html The most helpful to me was to use the code from the Multiple related records example for relationship query: https://developers.arcgis.com/en/flex/sample-code/multiple-related-records.htm Look at how the relationship query is in the declarations and read more about it in the API reference to limit the fields etc. The fieldsLayer_selectionCompleteHandler function has all of the code you will need to perform the relationship query, you will have to modify it to your layers and fields. It provides the code for doing the quesry and creating the onResult and onFault coding. Otherwise you could run a query on the related table and create an array of the selected feature id's and then use that to select the features within your landmark layer.

Did you add both mx.swc and sparkskins.swc to the library? The AttributeInspector and RelationShipInspector where also redone in 3.4 from 3.3.

I also use custom field inspectors for my tables. Another way to make them show up as not editable is to use two different ItemRenderers for the field inspector. I create custom field inspector ItemRenderers, some are editable and some are not. When I have the editor turned off I can set the editor for the field inspector to the non-editable ItemRenderer. Below are two different ItemRenderers for the field inspector editors that I use. When the editor is active I can set a field inspector to use the rFST1 and when not editing I can set it to rFST2.
protected var rFST1:ClassFactory = new ClassFactory(fiFieldRenderer_Spinner);
protected var rFST2:ClassFactory = new ClassFactory(FieldRenderer_String_No_Edit);

Are you using the Editor? If so, You could try to set up the edit menu button to have an event handler when it is active and not active. My mobile programs that use editing when an edit button is clicked on use this. When the editor is clicked off I set the myEditor templatePicker selected to null, and disable the editor and call out the featurelayer isEditable = false. I also sometimes use a separate feature layer pointed at the mapserver instead of featureserver for the infowindow. That way the infowindow will not show editable fields. When a selection is made, it selects both the featureserver and mapserver layer but only draws the infowindow to the mapserver uneditable layer when a feature is clicked. myEditor.templatePicker.selectedTemplate = null;
myEditor.enabled = false;
editorGroup.visible = false;
StreetTreesEdit.isEditable = false;

An automated way to do it would be to use the following example and use as is or with some python modifications: http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/localgovernment/10.2/index.html#//028s00000160000000 http://support.esri.com/en/knowledgebase/techarticles/detail/39710 Both of these give ways to do the street index. The first is nice because it will create pages for you to use within Data Driven pages. You can modify the code to change the layout. The first example also requires no merging, intersecting or clipping on the users part, it is all automated.
