What is the number of min instances for that service? Based on the time it looks like the service recycled and then reconnected. What version of Server is being used? What version of RDBMS, looks like SQL Server? What is the version of the enterprise geodatabase?

Hi Mark, I have not tested with Server at the 10.4 release. I would recommend that you create a support case with the Server Usage team so they can investigate in more detail. Esri Technical Support

I would try the compress first to see if that helps with the size. Then try the Shrink option outlined in the above help doc. That should release any "free space" from the .mdf file. All this can be done from ArcCatalog.

Which file is getting to the 10GB limit? The .mdf or .ldf. Have you run a reconcile/post and compress on it lately? I wonder if there are old edits that need to be flushed out. When you export that versions data you are only grabbing the most current state. How often are edits made to the GDB by your JS api? Are there lots of edits being made at once? Take a look at the help documentation for the compress: Maintain desktop and workgroup geodatabase performance—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop I would run a compress and then preview the start and end count from the table and let us know what they are.

Thanks for the previous answers..... I forgot to ask these also. I assume that the Oracle machine is Windows? Is the ArcGIS server account running with a domain account also (I would think so...)? Are you using TNSNAMES or EZConnect for the connection string?

Hi Rick, Yeah, that patch will not work for any other version on ArcGIS products for 10.2.1. It is designed specifically for the 10.2.1 release. My guess is that those fixes will not be ported back to the 10.3.1 release (as a whole). The only way to get all those improvements is to upgrade to 10.4 or 10.4.1. You also may want to review this PDF article for more information on the 10.2.1 release for Utilities/Telecom: http://www.esri.com/library/whitepapers/pdfs/esri-road-map-for-utilities-and-telecom.pdf

Hi Rick, I would say no to having all the fixes from UTUP5 included in 10.3.1. There may be some of them, but not all. I would say that all the fixes are included in the 10.4 and upcoming 10.4.1 release. Hope this helps answer your question. Utilities and Communications Enterprise GIS

I was able to view the GDB_ITEMS table in SSMS and then select the documentation field in SSMS. It them opens a window that shows all the XML. This would only be to review it and not make changes. There may be tags that are specific to ArcGIS software and could break something if modified. See the below screenshots of what it looks like: XML1: Image of the field in the GDB_ITEMS table that stores the metadata in XML, according to the documentation XML2: Image of the XML in SSMS once selected
