Hi Muquit, That table may be holding the metadata for a feature class. I would not recommend modifying any of the repository tables out side of the ArcGIS tools (i.e. via SQL). Hi Mark, I think that it might be a good idea to open a new support case with Esri Technical Support and have the Geodatabase team investigate. There are a lot of different factors that go into the load times. They may be able to shed some more light on this issue.

So on both test and prod there is a map service being consumed when loading data? What version of the Desktop client are you using? Did it load faster on a previous version of Desktop?

Hi Mark, Is the data versioned in the instance that is taking a long time? Has the time for loading gotten worse over time or always been longer to load than the test instance? Are there any differences on the feature class in the test vs. prod?

There are some functions that you could perform from the SQL Server side, depending on the Geometry storage. But most of the enterprise geodatabase related functions will need some sort arcpy or ArcGIS Desktop component, as far as I know. Especially is you are using versioning within the enterprise geodatabase or other geodatabase functionality. Based on that information, I would wonder how any join between a file geodatabase and another SQL Server database view would perform.

HI Anish, Can you add the following information: ArcGIS Client used? What is the name and version of the RDBMS you are using? What version is the Geodatabase? For the joined data, it is in the same database (no registered with the geodatabase) or in another completely different database? How long is too long? With out the above information it will be difficult for people to help. ArcGIS for Server

There is no other way at this time to register a view with the geodatabase outside of the SDE command line tools (to my knowledge). There have been many post related to this topic on GeoNet and ArcGIS Ideas. I found these post by searching GeoNet. Hi David, You can only create a Workgroup geodatabase with a Workgroup license. The Workgroup license uses SQL Server Express for the geodatabase storage. You do not use the Create Enterprise Geodatabase GP tool for this product. Here is the help documentation of Database Server (Workgroup level): Database servers—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop In order to use the Create Enterprise Geodatabase tool, you need to have any level of ArcGIS for Server Enterprise licensing (Basic, Standard or Advanced). Hi Jesse, I would say that there is not much different on the outside. They both only work on Enterprise Geodatabases. However, the options on the AnalyzeDatasets is much more robust than the analyze, see below: Analyze Datasets—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop AnalyzeDatasets_management (input_database, include_system, {in_datasets}, {analyze_base}, {analyze_delta}, {analyze_archive}) Analyze—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop Analyze_management (in_dataset, components) I would use the Analyze Datasets on any data in the Enterprise Geodatabase for more control of what you are doing and more options. What system permissions do you have in SQL Server (sysadmin, etc.)? It appears that SQL Server thinks that you are not the owner of the data. Is your user name and schema matching in SQL Server Management Studio?
