Your model will work against different geodatabases if you make a variable for the database and reference that throughout using %variable% notation. This assumes that input datasets etc will be the same in each case. To avoid overwriting data, use the gdb variable throughout (assuming you want to write to the same gdb as the input). Once you export the model as a script you can just run the script directly, ie make your changes and go. You may need to add "import arcpy" at the top of the exported script.

At the moment, once you are logged in and viewing a map in AGOL, there is no easy way to log out again. The only way to do so is to go manually to the organization main page, where the user login details are available, and click the down arrow to get to log out. A logout link would be very useful for those of us who use different credentials, and I would like at least the option to add this to a web map or web app, or to have a logout widget.

I am trying to test the ArcGIS for AutoCAD functionality, using AutoCAD 2014 and the ArcGIS for AutoCAD 350 build. I am having difficulty connecting to my ArcGIS servers in the Add Service area, and wonder if 10.4 is supported? I am testing with two server instances (10.3 and 10.4), which have a mix of secured and unsecured services. The servers are available via a web adaptor. Using the Add Service button I try to configure a new server connection. Using the web adaptor url to 10.4 with a valid user credential apparently succeeds, but does not show any services. Using the web adaptor url to 10.4 without user credentials apparently succeeds, but does not show any services. If I try to connect to 10.3 with a user credential, it tells me "The remote server returned an error: (405) Method Not Allowed". Using the web adaptor url to 10.3 without user credentials was reporting an error "Error connecting to the server". It appeared to be getting stuck reading a particular service, if I stop that service it connects. I am also looking for the ArcGIS for AutoCAD 300 SP1 download, but am unable to find it.

The November update of the WAB on AGOL has implemented the following feature: The app state, including map extent and layer visibility, is now automatically saved when you close your browser. The save occurs when you close the tab or refresh it. This is annoying when developing applications, and doing demonstrations, as you never get back to the initial state of the application just be reloading it. The only way around it I have found is to clear the local storage in the browser using the console or dev tools, which works as long as you are a) still on the site and b) have closed the app first. I wouldl ike there to be a way to have an option to disable this, by user if possible, or in the app itself.

First up, can you confirm that your ArcGIS server user actually has write access to the folder? The fact that ArcMap on the server doesn't work suggests that there may be a permissions issue there. Can you see any output in "C:\arcgisserver\directories\arcgisoutput" on the server while the tool is running?

You can use the caches on the Esri server discs, and publish the service definition. I don't have them in front of me (on mobile) but from memory they are pretty straightforward.

Are you loading the results as a layer or as graphics? If a layer, you should be able to refresh the layer list in the second widget. I am new to widgets in general, but I would look into some of the events available in the widget code and see if one is suitable, worst case you could have a button that reloaded the layers. If graphics then you will have to extract them from the map, and check that the format is suitable for input to your process. Alternatively, could you chain the processes together?

One machine could be registered to more than on AppID, if desired and if multiple WAB startup folders exist. I assume that this involves a duplicate of the webappbuilder folder, entirely separate? Or can this be done by duplicating some part within the existing webappbuilder folder? It looks like the registration information is stored in "\arcgis-web-appbuilder-1.2\server\signininfo.json"

To see the output message from a GP service in a WAB widget, try the following: arcpy.AddMessage(msg) resultMsg = msg then at the end of your script (assuming you are wrapping it in a try): finally: arcpy.SetParameterAsText(1, resultMsg) The resultMsg should now appear in the Output side of the GP tool in the WAB.

I have an AutoCAD file, with blocks containing custom fields with attribute values in them. According to ESRI documentation these should be visible. However, the file was created in Civil 3D, and there is mention here that Civil 3D custom attributes are not supported. Is there a way to create a standard AutoCAD file from Civil 3d that will allow those block and block attributes to be visible in ArcMap?
