The problem that this is part of more complicated calculation and I want to do it all at once not in parts ... and in the older version it was possible .. but now it is not!! They have been some changes made with the Raster Calculator between 9.x and 10. You can read more here: Comparing Map Algebra between ArcGIS 9.x and 10. You will probably need to do this in python. There is a sample of the python syntax at the bottom of the link Dan provided. I have also pulled some other threads similar to this issue: Syntax for Merge with map algebra in ArcGIS 10 name 'mosaic' not defined - message Raster Calculator Merge Function in ArcGIS 10? Spatial Analyst (Raster Calculator): 'focalmean' no more?

In ArcGIS 9.3 Service Pack 1, ArcGIS 9.3.1, and ArcGIS 10 you can use one of the ArcGIS Online Map Services. These services can be access directly from the Add Data button in ArcGIS 10. For ArcGIS 9.3 and ArcGIS 9.3.1 you will need to create a connection to the gis service using the following url - http://services.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/services/ There is also the Landsat Imagery than can be accessed as a gis service from the following url - http://imagery.arcgisonline.com/arcgis/services Details of this service and how to connect to it are discussed in the following blog: Using the Landsat Image Services to Study Land Cover Change Over Time

So you can't even have a 1 or 2 degree rotation or it messes up the georeferencing, would that be accurate to say? That would be correct. Any data frame rotation will gray out the toolbar.

Hi Kevin, You might try a couple of things: 1. Change the drawing priority of the features under Layer Properties > Rendering tab > Effects. 2. Add a slight offset to the draped polygon from the Layer Properties > Base Heights tab. I hope that helps. -Timothy

A change in cell size like that will cause you to loose some of your data. The process of using the Resample tool will determine the centroid of the cells for the output raster. Then based upon the location of the output centroid it will determine the value by looking at the cell centroids of the input raster using the chosen resampling technique. Here are the techniques you can use: NEAREST ??Nearest neighbor assignment BILINEAR ??Bilinear interpolation CUBIC ??Cubic convolution MAJORITY ??Majority resampling You can read more on the techniques and see examples in the Cell size and resampling in analysis help document.

I got you. You are right, that does not work for PASTE. It looks like there are several ideas on the ArcGIS Ideas page related to this issue. Paste a column from Excel into an Attribute table. Excel like Attribute Table editing and selection Ability to edit standalone tables in ArcMap just as easily as feature classes Not sure is this is applicable to your situation, but you could export the selected records and then append them to the new table.

I've been having issues as well, but for me I don't seem to be able to get the georeferencing tool to work. It just stays greyed out. You might check out these blogs on georeferencing: In ArcGIS 10, raster data in TIFF format may be shifted or in the wrong geographic location Having problems georeferencing your raster image?

I would first off recommend installing service pack 2 for ArcGIS 10. It addresses some spatial reference issues. You can see the list of fixes in the service pack here: http://downloads2.esri.com/support/downloads/other_/ArcGIS-10sp2-issues.htm I would also suggest trying to rectify the image to a different format such as IMG to see if the issue is format specific.

Is the problem with opening up that particular model or just a blank scene document? What exactly are you doing to cause ArcScene to crash? Use the following link to check your system requirements for ArcGIS: http://cyri.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri_if/1186/10913 You might also try increasing your virtual memory.

The ASCII to Raster tool should work for you to convert it to raster. You can do more than one file by using the batch mode. This can be found by right clicking the tool in ArcToolbox and choosing the 'Batch' option. Here you can right click the input of the matrix and select all of the asc files by browsing to them. Or, with ArcGIS 10 you can create a model with an iterator. You will want to the the Iterate Raster iterator and specify an 'in-line variable substitution'. Here are some example of using iterators in ModelBuilder. As for the folders, it sounds like you are using GRID as the output format. Its structure is made up of a lot of files within a folder. If you have hundreds of GRID outputs, then there will be hundreds of folders. You can specify another output format such as TIFF or IMG by changing the output extension.

You will need to use the Mosaic to New Raster tool. This is a Python sample for the MosaicToNewRaster tool to use in the Python Window.
import arcpy
from arcpy import
envenv.workspace = "c:/data"arcpy.MosaicToNewRaster_management("land1.tif;land2.tif", "landnew.tif",\
"World_Mercator.prj", "8_BIT_UNSIGNED",\
"40", "1", "LAST","FIRST")
There is also a python standalone version at the bottom of the tool's help page:Mosaic To New Raster Also see the following thread: Raster Calculator Merge Function in ArcGIS 10?
