Rahmath, Here is a resource that you may be aware of Web AppBuilder Developer Edition – Customization Resource List . This is a living document of widgets and other help that are available from the the community for Web appbuilder. In this list there are a few drawing tools people have made that you might find useful. There is even one that is similar to the link you shared. Jay, If you go to <app#>\themes\WidgetTheme\widgets\HeaderController\css\style.css and change the values in this part of the css around line 57 then you can adjust the transparency over the icons or other options. .jimu-widget-header-controller .icon-node{ cursor: pointer; opacity: 0.6; text-align: center; border-right: 1px solid #323e4f; } -Stan

Jay Geisen The icons for the widgets are images so you need to go to \widgets\<WIDGET NAME>\images and either change out the existing icon or open it in an image editing program and edit the image itself. -Stan

Dan, I have not tested this, but does changing the parameter "timeout": 15000 in the config file to a smaller number make any difference? Just a thought. -Stan

Andrew, From what I remember the previous versions all listened for folder changes. You may need to start the node.js startup.bat file again to see some changes. There may be something helpful in this post How to "refresh" a widget's code while editing it -Stan

Melanie Hammond, Here is an easy way to do this. In Web app builder under the basemap widget add a second basemap to one already in your basemap gallery like so. Here I added the topo basemap to the streets one. Now in the config_Basemap Gallery.json file find the location where both maps are added. Add in the two line for "displayLevels": [], (in this example it is on lines 8 and 15). Now you can specify what levels you want the basemap to display and I will change automatically. { "title": "Streets", "thumbnailUrl": "//provo.maps.arcgis.com/sharing/rest/content/items/d8855ee4d3d74413babfb0f41203b168/info/thumbnail/world_street_map.jpg", "layers": [ { "id": "World_Street_Map_8421", "opacity": 1, "displayLevels": [11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18], "visibility": true, "url": "http://services.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/World_Street_Map/MapServer" }, { "id": "topo", "opacity": 1, "displayLevels": [1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10], "visibility": true, "url": "http://services.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/World_Topo_Map/MapServer" } ], "spatialReference": { "wkid": "102100" } }, Hope this helps. -Stan

Julian, I had that same question. My first thought was to use Larry Stout's Acme widget (I think) to keep track of your map state and layers loaded. That would be a cool enhancement for this. Not sure if that would work but just a thought. -Stan

Peter, Just a shot in the dark. I do not have any time aware layers to play with right now. Also cant you just have it do the years so you could display the layers like 70, 80, 90, 100? -Stan

Andrew, The node.js that you are running in the background for web appbuilder is a listener that listens for changes in a folder. What widgets are you having problems with? -Stan

Emily, If you want to use this in the desktop environment then you can just add the Effects toolbar and select the layer you want and use the swipe tool. Here is a link to the desktop help that talks about it. ArcGIS Desktop -Stan

I received an email from ESRI last week that said the next ArcGIS online release is coming in July (no date). The developers edition will probably be a few weeks after. I have a feeling they may try to get it out before the UC so they can show it off.

Peter, Just an idea but you could give time values (dates) to each of your polygons in the right order. That way you should be able to step through the polygons as you move the slider. -Stan

Joaquin, Are you just trying to change the existing loading gif? if so you can just replace the loading.gif in \server\apps\<app#>\jimu.js\images Additional loading parameters can be configured in the index.html in the main-loading div -Stan

Jay, You need to add code to your form in the \widgets\Print\templates\Print.html file It depends on where you want the user to enter the information. Visible from the top of accessible through the advanced button. For example I wanted mine to show up in the advanced section so I just added this between the Author and copyright table rows. <tr> <td> Additional Text: </td> <td> <input type="text" data-dojo-attach-point="BOXTEXTNode" data-dojo-type="dijit/form/ValidationTextBox" data-dojo-props="name:'BOXTEXT',trim:true,required:false,style:'width:100%;'" data-dojo-attach-point="BOXTEXTTB"/> </td> </tr> In line 6 above replace the 3 instances of BOXTEXT with the value you made in the Print.js file as mentioned previously. -Stan
